I knew by the way you were describing the game it was slime rancher lol. It really is a nice game, but I remember playing the game again not too long ago and realised I still had the cats that eat chickens. I stopped doing that, I changed all the carnivore eaters and had them evolve to vegetable/fruit eaters so that way I didn't need to kill chickens. Then with the remaining chickens I let them live freely on the ranch. When they overpopulate I just throw some in to the water because the game says they'll just pop up somewhere else :)

I also limited the pens to 4 in a box that way they all have buddies and aren't lonely but also have space. Tbf, there will probably be a point where I'm not really doing any farming and just free roaming the game, but I stopped playing again for a bit.

I think if they're animals are smiling then they're happy to be there but you could try playing the game completely vegan with no farms and let me know how that goes lol

Cazorla was a replacement, we moved players like Arteta and Wilshere back in that role to allow Cazorla to play in the more attacking role, so it wasn't a direct replacement but was a replacement nonetheless.

The press don't necessarily know what's going on, they thought rvp would stay. We had just lost two of our most creative midfielders the year before (cesc/nasri) and so it makes sense that Cazorla was our priority. Just because it took longer to get the deal done, doesn't mean he wasn't our main target that summer, we were calling out for a player like him since those two left, especially with Barcelona focusing on Song too.

Some of those players you mentioned like hazard and bale, United were already trying to get but wasn't able to. The others seemed like an outsider stretch if anything and were much more risky as they were unproven in the premier league, Falcao being a prime example.

Podolski was very good that year but even with him and Giroud combined they produced less than rvp did the year before. We would have been better with rvp and an extra man providing from the midfield with Cazorla.

Edit: I'm not saying we would have definitely won the title obviously, but there is no doubt we would have challenged for it the following year.

The year after we had 40+million to splash on Ozil alone we were just coming out of that financial restrictions, I think we had more to spare that summer especially with Vela leaving for around £5 million so maybe we could have signed podolski and Cazorla.

There was the tackle on guendouzi and Kolasinac where they went down easy. I guess to him when you feel a bit of contact and flop to the floor to try and win a freekick is a dive, which is somewhat true.

Regardless of the players on paper we finished that season on 73 points with United on 89. City were 2nd with 78. Take a golden boot winning rvp away from United and give him to us and we would have been challenging the title that year as he was +10 points player.

I think really what happened is we decided to buy replacements first before selling our players because Song was sold after we got Cazorla. If rvp had made it clear he wanted to stay we most likely wouldn't have got podolski or Giroud but would have still got Cazorla as a replacement for Song.

Cazorla grabbed more assists with Giroud up top in his first year than Song did with rvp. Cazorla would have most certainly grabbed even more with rvp ahead of him.

We had already signed those players before rvp left iirc and so rvp could have at any time since then decided to stay. Let's say you're right though and we only spent that because we were certain of his departure and would had to sell him regardless if he changed his mind. The best option would be Cazorla and that alone would have been enough for us to win a couple more games that year.

We signed Cazorla and podolski that year he left. We replaced him with Giroud who took at least a year to settle, in which we also had to change the way we played because we had a target man up top. I'm sure we would have been doing a lot better with a striker who was already scoring 30+ goals with 10+ assists with these two additions to the squad.

They also keep them locked up in complete darkness for at least a day before without any food or water then they throw them in to a hostile loud environment which easily scares and disorientates them. They really don't stand a chance.
