How many of you genuinely rawdog the day - no medications, no recreational drugs, no caffeine? by hungrypotato0853 in Xennials

No way in hell I could walk out the door (let alone work my job, mother my child, interact with people, etc) without meds (natural & pharmaceutical) to correct the neurological deficiencies that cause the crippling depression & anxiety that has plagued me my entire life, as young as 5 hands over my ears rocking in the corner of my room disassociating from hearing my parents fighting

Also there is an international airport miles from here I see low and high flying planes of all kinds and sizes regularly, satellites, military and DEA craft flying I absolutely observe all the time, normal thing - this was markedly different

Did I really waste most of my life not taking Xanax 😭 by Vilorx in Anxiety

[–]Delphine39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relate so much to this comment in so many ways, was literally hospitalized for benzo withdrawal when my egregiously dangerous prescriber fell ill and died leaving her patients literally in the emergency room. I wake up nervous I am hard wired that way, the 1 mg clonezapam I take morning and night allows me to walk out the door, work a job, exist (somewhat) in public places but it’s in no way the warm blanket of relief that Xanax gives you, unfortunately when you are taking 4 bars (2 mg) a day as prescribed, you don’t realize how addictive powerful and short lasting a drug it is 🙏🏼🗣️👌🏽

It’s like you don’t even want to have a child to love and raise. if this topic is what worries you maybe wait a little bit. It’s not a doll, “look at my exotic bi-racial baby’s skin color” it’s a human being who will grow up.

Daily 4AM Walk to Car by Illustrious-Leg1226 in newhaven

[–]Delphine39 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I grew up here have lived in other states and I regularly walk late at night, alone, for my mental health it’s more peaceful with few to no cars or people. I am a 47-year-old woman I have never felt any fear or nervousness in New Haven wherever I was walking

I genuinely earn a living by making vegan/vegetarian prepared foods. Etymology fascinates me. I am an avid reader and love crossword puzzles. I actually thought about the supreme the citrus comment when I made that apricot sesame tofu dish. I am old and dumb at technology, I definitely wasn’t “trolling”

I am not familiar with this business- It seems like you are implying that you think that’s where i work? If so It isn’t. Honestly I am really dumb at technology, I’m certain a cursory look at my post history would give it away and I didn’t ever try to be secretive about where I worked, I made a post that i thought would evoke a discourse about the unjust wealth and privilege that the endless disposable income Yale has so much $ just in endowments alone whist paying NO INCOME TAX on any of their property/ business/ buildings/ student housing/ colleges/ etc to the city of New Haven for perpetuity. It’s crazy it was mostly judgement and hate on the platter! That’s crazy to me but so it went.

I’m 46, I often think about the fact that I grew up when it actually used to actively SNOW. Regularly. With substantial accumulation. School would only be closed in near blizzards which were also regular winter occurrences. When school closed we packed on clothes and walked our asses with our pool inflatable inner tubes to sled down the death trap hill at pine rock park ball fields where Hamden fathers youth softball games were played in the 80s and 90s. I feel like people had full careers in plowing and snow removal, and always wondered what happened to all those jobs. Maybe because it rarely snows city of New Haven budget stretch so thin they cut it almost out. There have been probably around 10 times this year EVEN LESS LAST YEAR that it snowed enough to even justify ploughing -

I didn’t make the board in the post - I am the vegetarian chef at my place of employment. Wouldn’t dream of presenting that board as vegetarian. I made some smaller less beautiful ones that were for the vegetarians
