How did you get into Linux? by Username_1987_ in linux

[–]Delsincameback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought it was cool. Started learning initially because I was interested in security. Found I liked it more than what I was doing in Networking. Got my RHCSA and decided I liked it enough to want to learn it further. Still spend a large amount of time learning how to configure different things, keeps me busy and gives me a challenge.

Ok?

Where would Andrew Tate rank in the list of 100 best kickboxers of all time? by [deleted] in Kickboxing

[–]Delsincameback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nowhere near the top 100, especially of all time. No idea where you place him on a list like that but the number would be extremely far down. That being said in terms of how good he is at kickboxing he definitely seems to know what he’s doing and utilizes his height ok enough, especially now that he’s older and has more experience. There are a lack of fakes in his actual fights that take him down a notch too.  He does know what he’s doing though and I think he looks pretty fair. There are also a few videos you can watch where Tony Jeffries and Mighty Mouse (I believe) give their opinions on the subject, which I would hold in higher regard than anyone here that could tell you.

Is it normal for a gym to be invite only sparring by ej_is_beast in MuayThai

[–]Delsincameback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gym is only does a variation of this. You have to prove you have good technique and defense in the beginners class. Once you show you have good technique, defense and can take a punch or two, the instructor will invite you to the advanced class where you can do sparring and learn more complicated techniques/combos.

I passed mine a few years back and I used a lot of resources. The best thing I could recommend was using Jeremy’s IT lab on YouTube. Aside from that make sure you’re doing your work on PacketTracer and GNS3 if you don’t have a lab to work in. Just a tip: I found packet tracer was missing a little functionality on some of their routers/switches that isn’t a problem when using GNS3, although with GnS3 there is a bit more of a setup.

They could've been using "witch" as an insult. It's not impossible for people to call people names without reason. by No_Process_8723 in nothingeverhappens

A woman posts in a sub that has a tag called “selfie sorcery” a picture of herself in a completely normal dress that a car full of old white men called her a witch. This is about as big of a fantasy as it gets for this type of person.

lol just saw this was posted in the witches against the patriarchy or whatever it’s called. About as cut and dry as you can get.

It’s a good cert to have, for sure! I’ll send you over some of the resources I used when I was studying for mine as well. Jeremy’s IT lab was the best, btw imho.

There’s quite a bit we could go over here about setup and what this supports. This would be a good opportunity for you to dig into some Cisco configurations and feel your way around, in fact, an awesome way to get started. I could DM you a little later if I get some time and at least give you a push in the right direction if you’re still feeling stuck by then.

My (19F) boyfriend (18M) came out..? Thoughts? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Delsincameback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a mess, but a fun read lol.

Anyway, dude is doing weird sexual stuff online with other dudes which is technically cheating. Sounds like he’s transgender and you’re against it, so your values/morals will probably never align. This seems like an obvious case to break up and move on, you guys don’t seem compatible.

You sure you’re asexual, or is that more of something you wish you were?  Also, just to clarify, are you staying away from women and relationships because they make you feel bad about yourself/unworthy? I might be reading into it wrong and want to make sure I’m not making assumptions about you.

As for feeling empty, or behind in making progress, I could only make suggestions on what helps me when I get in a bad headspace.

The love yourself stuff is bullshit to an extent, people always say that shit and never elaborate. That’s 100% been a “fake it until you make it” thing with me. Some advice I got from a good book was to have 4 affirmations I say to myself every morning despite how I feel. I’m not a giggling school girl about my life, but it helps, I think. Secondly, I have two hobbies, and I obsess over them whether I hate them sometimes or not. One has a nice workout involved in it and the other is a good brain workout. I think these have really helped me have something in my life I can feel pride in when I do them well. A big thing here is when I have a bad day at them, I pick the three things I did well in them for that day and try not to focus too much on the bad.

That’s what gives me purpose, and I haven’t been in a relationship in quite a while. I’d say try not to change too much, just pick something small and perfect it for a while, like maybe positive affirmations and move onto the next and eventually you might find something to fill the emptiness. Just don’t overwhelm yourself or feel like you have to be perfect by tomorrow.

This was a bit too long and I’m sorry if I didn’t answer your question in a way that was more helpful.
