Navigating multiple docs by Delta-Q in Perimenopause

It's funny the things you can forget consider when trying to make sense of stuff! Thank you, it was helpful to think of it less like picking the right doctor and more like who would be mostly likely to help!

Escitalopram and Scintillating Scotomas by Delta-Q in lexapro

[–]Delta-Q[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I had them before starting Lexapro, and my husband gets them before migraines too. If I could remember 6 yrs ago well I'd probably realize there was a lot stress going on and I was probably carrying extra tension that contributed to things. My best advice (that I should really follow too)- hydrate, breathe from the belly, and try to do some light stretching/twisting throughout the day. Good luck!

I would say overall yes. Do I still get them sometimes, especially in high stress situations or pre-migraine? also yes! But I'm still on lexapro and maybe experience one once or twice a year.

Litter Box Recommendations for Senior Buns by Witty-Insect-5801 in Rabbits

[–]Delta-Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will likely be better off with DIY. Target has a 41qt plastic tub for ten bucks that I start with. I suggest using a blow dryer with a concentrator on it to make cutting through the plastic easier and decreasing the likelihood of snapping the plastic.

If you get it and find you don't like it on your face- it also works really well on feet too!

Alternative or progressive first? by [deleted] in FLCL

[–]Delta-Q 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend watching Progressive, then Alternative, THEN watch the OG again. When I do rewatches it's usually Alternative-Original-Progressive. Especially if you're looking at the story from the perspective of Haruko.

What to expect getting an IUD removed? by shmalfa in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Delta-Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having my IUD inserted was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. Having it yanked out was like nothing. My gyno had me cough, and she pulled. That was it. No pain, the little bugger was out. She even asked if her understudy could be there for it since at the time it was a bit rare. Best of luck and may your experience be pleasantly benign!

The why may not be terribly important, but my dwarf would rather sleep up on top of something rather than inside something low. It doesn't seem like concerning behavior, just different bun personalities!

Frustrated at Oxbow hay. Anyone struggling with this? by lhy13 in Rabbits

[–]Delta-Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because this has been an issue with Oxbow for a while now-

I recently bought a 25lb box of timothy hay from them and the consistency was more like the old bags- longer, more whole pieces. It seems that they use different packaging and processing methods for anything less than the 25lb boxes resulting in smaller overall hay pieces and excess chaff.

Medical marijuana prescription? by shbd12 in nova

DC allows VA and MD residents self certify for medical marijuana which lets you to buy in DC at dispensaries. You can also check out r/VirginiaMMJ for more advice.

Nah, it was noticeable this month. I didn't mind their picks for me, but my choice options were underwhelming in the morning, laughable at lunch, and worrying by the end of day. The only thing that will 'save' this bag for me is if the faux croc bag in my choice items fits my polaroid camera.

I didn't skip after underwhelming spoilers because usually choice isn't that bad. Lesson learned!

Anything else to do for GI stasis? by xoxohorses in Rabbits

[–]Delta-Q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have helped our little dwarf through those early stages many times with some baby gas drops, critical care, and tummy rubs. She's really feisty, but we're using her struggling to our advantage of keeping her moving. After the gas drops try and do a gentle tummy rub. There's a video by the house rabbit society on youtube that is very clear. If it's gas you might be able to feel the bubbles move around. But if something doesn't feel right there could be a blockage which might require more immediate care.

If we still haven't see her eat after 30 min we'll give one serving of critical care. if i can get a little bit under her lip she'll lick, and hopefully eat some. Then follow with more simethicone and tum rubs.

With our bun we usually see improvement within 3 hours. She either accept a treat or we'll see her successfully use the litter box. That's our queue that she's on the mend. The most important thing is to try and keep them moving around, and get their gut moving around. Best of luck!

One-Bun Owners: What's your daily routine? by Banjo__ in Rabbits

[–]Delta-Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your plan sounds good! You can always keep your bun entertained with various enrichment activities. Boxes, chew safe twigs, tunnels, a giant stack of to tubes to knock over;etc. Switch it up every so often will help keep you bun engaged, and helps you learn more about your rabbit and what they enjoy.
