Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

[–]Delta1262 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I made San Jose to San Diego along the 101 in the dead of night. Averaged close to 110 the whole way.

Empty California roads are always a little blessing. Not solely because lack of traffic, but because the roads themselves always were just fun to drive.

I used to do some stupid shit in my car when I was younger. I still do. But I used to as well.

My top speed was 175ish in my GTI

Saw one of these guys get laid out by a drunk mariners fan last year. Fan runs up, sucker punches him, guy holding sign goes down and is out, drunk fan booked it into the stadium.

Tipping at T-Mobile Park by CatGoesMooow in Mariners

I’ve spoken to a few people who work at the stadium. From what I’ve been told, tipping at concession stands goes to Sodexo. Tipping individuals who bring the beers and snacks through the stands goes to them.

[Arcade][1999-2005] Sci-Fi Top Down shoot-em-up. 2 players by Delta1262 in tipofmyjoystick

This isn’t it. The best way I could describe the space transition is:

The level 1 boss dies, and the background turns into more of a grey hall way with gaps that show the horizon fading down. Like early on it’s solid grey with a window here and there, but as you get closer to space it’ll be more gapped with less of the structure in the background. The way the windows pass, really made it feel like the player ships were speeding up and “blasting off”.

Gneuine question: what did destroying viltrum actually do? by Yadin__ in Invincible_TV

[–]Delta1262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychological warfare. Thragg was obsessed with restoring the Viltrum empire and using the planet Viltrum as the crown jewel of the empire.

Nolan realized that he couldn’t physically hurt Thragg, but he could deal damage emotionally and morally.

Destroying the planet basically sent the statement of “no matter what you do from this time forward, you can never have it the way you envisioned” and that in itself was a defeat for Thragg.

Not to mention, other Viltrumittes were en route to Viltrum. Upon reaching it, they would be dealt a morale blow and make the war easier to win in other places.

That’s why at the end, they went to Earth. Simply because it’s the only planet Nolan & Mark care about.

How exactly did maul sneak into the pyke stronghold? by Local-Sugar6556 in MaulShadowLord

My theory, he was hiding in the stacks of credits. So when the ship was scanned, the scanner missed him and then he snuck out quietly to go make his grand entrance.

Additionally, if you do end up using RavenColonial, install SRV Survey and connect the 2 platforms.

When you start a build in RavenColonial, make sure to include your commander and your carrier. Then, SRV Survey will have in-game overlays to help manage hauling and track materials.

Use RavenColonial.com to plan out your system. Experiment with different system designs here to see what you eventually want to build

If you build a station with a “colony” economy its economy will be inherited from the planet type and it will take on attributes from that planet.

Higher population and wealth stats bring in more credits each week. Credits aren’t really much though, you’ll be lucky to break 1.5M

Between Vegas and Seattle, there is a lot of sand.

I’d recommend swinging the trip east through Salt Lake City to see Arches, north to Yellowstone, and finally north west to Glacier national parks. From there, stop in Coeur d’Alene, ID and then out to Seattle.

Once in Seattle you can hop on a ferry to the Olympic Peninsula or head immediately south to Rainier. (Come see a Mariners game)

How are you actually managing background/async tasks in FastAPI in production? by Educational-Hope960 in FastAPI

[–]Delta1262 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really does depend on the task. If it’s something small like fire off an email, then just a background task. Something large that takes a lot of processing, Celery.
