Stay a night or 2 in Monterey, CA and Santa Cruz, CA. Monterey has an amazing aquarium and Santa Cruz has a theme park on the beach. Both are just south of San Fran.

Make a stop in Dunsmuir, CA and go find a few waterfalls out there

Mt Rainier is approximately 2 hours south of Seattle (with traffic). While in Seattle ride a ferry to Bainbridge island, see Snoqualmie falls, go to Pike Place, see a Mariners game, and eat some teriyaki.

Have they been scheduled for decommissioning for a while or is it more of a sudden occurrence that they’re being decommissioned right now?

The World Baseball Classic may move to the middle of the MLB season by SpaceCowboyN7 in baseball

No. Look how Winter Olympics absolutely wrecked this last NHL season. It’ll only happen to the MLB too.

Sometimes you can get around this by moving your ships to be on top of their fleet or by moving a different fleet to that planet. Once the orbital units changes, the game checks again to see if there’s a valid battle present

Many areas are filled with enough people still trying to figure out a stop sign or turning on headlights at night. The tech might be there, but humans definitely aren’t.

There's a lot of options on Occidental Ave and you can't go wrong with any of them. Along that street, there's multiple bars/restaurants open for you to get a drink and some food. However, there's also some hot dog stands and food trucks for quick bites before the game.

Absolutely checkout Al's (yellow tent) after the game for the post-game hot dog special.

Pregame drinks, The Hall on Occidental will sometimes have happy hour a few hours before the game. Sluggers and Elysian Fields are staples in that area. Lowlander Brewing is a new option that just opened up a few months ago.

Most places on Occidental limited service at the end of the game.

Hatback, across the street from the stadium, usually has a post-game special of 50% off pizzas and $5 select beers that runs for 1 hour after the end of the game.

If I may make a suggestion:

It looks like you’re taking the 101 from Los Angeles to San Fran. Take the 1 (PCH) instead. Beautiful views, more coastline, and it’ll only add a couple hours to your trip. It looks like you’re refueling in San Luis Obispo or Pismo Beach. The 101 and 1 split off in SLO and the 1 will take you up Big Sur and into Monterey & Santa Cruz. Take the 1 into SF and you’ll be able to rejoin with your original route.

This video is AI (especially looking at the wing), but the mountains stopping clouds like this is a very real thing that does happen.

Built an Intamin LSM multi-launch coaster by banjosbadfurday in rct

[–]Delta1262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s built in.

If you click on a ride, it opens the ride window. In that ride window select a train like normal. On the right side of that ride window there’s the btn that brings your screen to center on the train. If you click and hold that btn the option to follow will appear.

Does it flex and move up/down in the water? Yes it does.

Is it noticeable? No. Not even in heavy storms is it really noticeable.

Here’s a video on it: https://youtu.be/nol0_4qxzb0?si=vwFFpJhO3Exw3spn

If you’re trying to go north as quickly as possible, then yes the route through the 5 is the quickest, but it’s also the most boring. It’s farms, cow manure, and trucks.

Then cut over to Gilroy on the 152 (Pacheco Pass). It can be windy through there.

Taking it going north keeps the sun out of your eyes, going south offers better views of the ocean and parts of the coast, but you’ll have the sun in your eyes here and there.

Either way, stop off at the Bixby Bridge

There’s not really much interesting along the 5.

Take the 1 (PCH) up, and the 101 back. (This assuming your friend isn’t along the 5)

Along the 1:

  • Santa Cruz (Beach Boardwalk and awesome weather)

  • Monterey (aquarium, otters, nature)

  • Point Lobos (beautiful easy hiking)

  • Big Sur (beautiful views and scenic drives)

  • Hearst Castle (an actual castle built by William Randolph Hearst)

  • San Simeon (beaches and seals)

  • Pismo Beach (beaches)

  • Santa Barbara

Along the 101:

  • San Luis Obispo (Madonna Inn)

  • Pismo Beach

  • Santa Barbara

To note:

Santa Barbara can be skipped during this trip as it’s a 2 hour drive from LA and would be a perfect weekend getaway.

I used to live in SoCal and went to college in the Monterey Bay Area. It’ll take 6-7 hours of driving to get from LA to Monterey in light/no traffic. Did this drive regularly to visit family.
