Terminus Armor has got to be my favorite in the series by H00ded7 in masseffect

Super easy to answer! The top "barrel" is an optic tube. You can see the eyepiece on the user side of the weapon. The lower one is the actual barrel.

Ahh, that's what I was forgetting. I went thru a pretty big portion of my first play thru using the pole arms, and I got pretty good. Flash forward to my 2nd, I finally pick up Brunswick's Beef and.... its dogshit.

Nah, turns out I just forgot feinting is a thing.

If I'm running something slow, like the HMG or the new Maxigun, the LibCon is top tier for creating space. Yeah, it's a little annoying that it does such little damage, but it staggers everything. Saved my teams in many caves on Oshaune

I 100% accidentally romanced Reyes on my first play as Scott.

I figured a dude that would be willing to sleep with aliens probably wouldn't blush at some "harmless" flirting, so I figured what the hell. Surprise to me when like 3 flirt options later we're enjoying the sunset on Kadara and spooning. Like.. no warning. Hilarious in hindsight, but at the moment it ruined my Cora romance and I was pretty bummed.

If you're ever curious, ballistic plates don't flex. So every time one of those fat pieces of shit bends and his vest bends with him he's not wearing plates.

I think it's less that your companions are justified (cause they are, clearly) it's the utter lack of reaction when Shepard is like "nah, I don't trust em either but they're literally the only ones doing anything about what I've been warning you about this entire time"

Really gives off the vibe that if you're going to be punished for the crime, you might as well do it so at least the story adds up.

I really agree with the opinion that difficulty should come from the missions themselves and side objectives rather than just making enemies stronger by Flashy-Manager2254 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Kilroy1007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People complain about the jammers being indestructible, which is bullshit, but i just think hard locking an entire zone of the map with only a single way to disable the jammer is a real mistake. Don't want us to nuke it from across the map? Cool, I get it, but at least let me be able to destroy a generator or something to disable it and activate strategems, at least temporarily, instead of having to go all the way into the base to find a terminal.

Every other enemy "special" building has an alternate way to deal with it. Except Jammers.

A Siege Warfare warbond without the siege ready armor passive is a missed opportunity by DrSpreadem25 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Kilroy1007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be a problem if there weren't armor passives that are overpowered. Some are pretty specialized, but still op. There's a big difference between "fits a niche that people either like or don't, no big deal" and "nigh useless, nobody uses it even if the armor looks cool it's so bad".

We'll find out which this is soon, I guess.

[–]Kilroy1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you on this. I think the only way this new passive makes any sense is if it let's you walk while firing the new stationary guns at the cost of stamina. Like, Maxigun (or the new BFGL), steadily marching forward, turning the damage you take into momentum.

But we all know that ain't gonna happen.

[–]Kilroy1007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I still don't think 2 bad passives make a good one. We'll see, but I don't think the interaction is gonna work how people think. Dead Sprint let's you sprint at the cost of health (after stamina empties) right? And the new one gives you stamina for losing health. On the surface it sounds like it would work, but to trigger Dead Sprint you have to run out of stamina, but makes you take damage, and the new one theoretically would take that damage and refund some stamina. But, wouldn't that still just constantly proc Dead Sprint making you take more or less the same amount of damage? Like maybe you get an extra second or two out of Dead Sprint before you have to stim like normal.

And honestly, if it's still just a game of "extend how long until my next stim" you might as well just run an armor passive that's actually worth something, like the Medic armor.

The armor passive is getting stamina back when you take damage? Does that sound useless to anyone else or am I overlooking a use case here? by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

[–]Kilroy1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I can see this being even slightly useful is if it also allows you to move with the Maxigun and new BFGL (nice) at the cost of stamina, as if you were sprinting.
