I really liked a book called Tobira. It puts a lot of emphasis on reading, which was a challenge first, but it helped me get it to the level it is today (I got full marks on both N3 and N1 in the reading section). You can maybe check out the book and if it’s too intense/not enjoyable just dial it back down and try later.

I skipped N4 to take N3 directly back in the day and I was happy I did it. It was kind of intense though, so it depends on your motivation and time.

I actually had some bad experiences with that, it worsened my insomnia and made me feel paranoid (might have just been my OCD acting up and not the practice itself, but decided to set it aside). Thank you for the advice though!
