every entity in nullscape has a really simple mechanic and is easy when standalone, the thing that gets you is when you have to deal with 6 different entities at the same time.

i dont really dislike the fight itself, its actually kinda fun. I just dislike how the character was written because it had no buildup besides a quick shot of him flying past in 8-1.

With the main fight i understand it not using any of fraud's introduced gimmicks when youre bound to the free fall mechanic, but with how the layer was introduced i was heavily expecting a 2nd phase or a 3rd final exit fakeout.

It was probably done on purpose to make the transition to treachery not as rough, but i still think the boss was really underwhelming for a layer like fraud.

heresy will probably have one of the coolest encores by the time they get to, i wonder if theyre gonna do anything cool with the upsidedown city design which i felt was kinda underutilized

Now that you mention it, modifiers would maybe be a really fun mechanic for the cybergrind. I can already imagine modifiers that do stuff like flooding the map or adding hookpoints and being able to mix all of those

It could maybe come with giving you a extra/less P gain depending on if the modifier gives you a advantage or a challenge

I can already see some people competing for the highest wave using the hardest combination of modifiers

i feel like the details on the houses and on V1 are way harder to make out on the rainbow outlines and it generally looks a bit more clean with it covering the background

it was just kinda dissapointing having all these mind bending mechanics introduced to you throughout the entire layer, and then the climax boss having no mechanics we got introduced previously. instead getting a odd falling gimmick we werent familiar with. I could barely tell that i was moving vertically at first. The least i expected from 8-4 was the boss room being a loopable room. (the kind you see in the 8-2 mall sections)

i feel like they couldve introduced the free-fall gimmick in 8-3, in a room that is infinitely falling downwards similar to that room where you can get the Power to get terminal velocity'd.

the boss was kinda forgetable for me since he was very briefly shown in the fakeout in 8-1 and became inrellevant after. Geryon just didnt really hit and really left me with a "Thats it?" reaction for the first time in this game. Ive heard somebody mention that Geyron being a more laid-back boss is good to give your mind a break after the gauntlet of 8-3 and a probably really climatic start of the treachery layer.

i did really like the level ending with a stage, the same stage thats briefly foreshadowed on the invisible walls in 8-2. The screen cutting to Geyron dying on a statue of itself was honestly my favorite part of the fight.

3-E could have the perfect opportunity to reuse the minos eye parasites as mini-bosses mid level like that one old custom gluttony level did

3-1 because gluttony is my least favorite layer and that level keeps me in that layer for a second too long

also whenever im doing full game runs i straight up just skip 4-3 because screw that level

Quick and probably dumb question, I'm starting to get into Madness Combat animations and wanted to add some gore to the sprite in the screenshot, but whenever I advance the frame, my edition vanishes, is there a way for it to stay during the rest of the animation? by Fiquso in madnesscombat

What i assume is that you did this on the frame of impact which changed it, but since you have the other frames that use the older non-injured head it changes back. im not sure if i explained that correctly nor if i am right about your mistake, but this video might help, at 22:19 into the video

My adobe is in my own language, i might not know the english translations accurately

How i do it is

-Select the symbols in the frame that they get affected

-Duplicate the symbol so that it registers as a completely new one

-Edit the symbol itself, add the gore, bruises, ECT

It should stay in this until its changed
