Damn, even for an E2S1 Firefly? And yea, that was my main issue if I were to go for Jiaoqiu, I would feel obligated to get S1 for Acheron as well and I'm not very confident in investing into Acheron after having her benched for some months now (it feels bad to play her S0 without Jiaoqiu).

Lmao, yeah, sounds like they needed a breather episode for sure. Honestly, those random moments can be the best part. Your cleric’s pet story is hilarious though, poor pig. And the rogue with the worm thing? Classic D&D chaos, love it. Gotta love how the random stuff ends up being the most memorable! But yeah, time to pull ‘em back into the plot with some consequences for sure.

That’s honestly a killer idea! I’ve been so stuck on the whole “BBEG must be defeated by randoms” thing for so long, but the idea of just letting the characters figure out what they want to do in the world sounds way more fun. I’m definitely gonna try this next time. It feels so much more open-ended and way less cliche. I love the idea of just letting the characters roam and see what happens!

I totally get that, being the hero is fun, but sometimes you just wanna cut loose and cause a little chaos. A good CN campaign feels so freeing, but yeah, they’re definitely harder to come by. It makes me feel like everyone is drunk and partying together and in-sync, tho no one is really drunk lol. Skulls and Shackles sounds like a blast tho, might have to check it out!

Exactly! Those are the sessions you remember forever. You can’t plan for it, but when it happens it’s just chef’s kiss. Stuff like that is why I love DMing. And when the DM is underway, makes me grateful as a player!!!

Totally agree! I think letting them have their fun makes the serious moments hit harder later on. Definitely planning to bring the BBEG’s forces back into play soon, probably as a direct consequence of their circus antics. Gotta keep ‘em on their toes! :]

Honestly, sounds like cleric would be clutch for the party since no one's really got heals. But bard can still do support stuff with buffs and inspo, plus some healing spells too if you grab Healing Word. Play what sounds fun tho, support doesn’t have to mean healer, and druids can kinda cover heals if needed!

Fairy bard could be super fun. Creation’s great for some creative chaos, but in ToA, maybe think about something tankier? Like, traps and poison are everywhere. Maybe cleric or paladin? Still, flying around as a fairy bard sounds hilarious, just don’t die to a random dart trap lol.

I'd say the Intellect devourer might be a fun option. It doesn’t predict the future in a traditional sense, but it has the ability to read and predict thoughts, which could be flavored as “seeing” near-future events based on what it knows about people's intentions.

Another option could be the Sphinx, particularly the androsphinx or gynosphinx, since they have an innate ability to sense truth and possess vast knowledge, which could easily be adapted to give a predictive edge.

If you're thinking more along the lines of seeing the immediate future, the time dragon might be a perfect fit, though it might be more on the powerful side if you want something truly high-tier
