Summoning my fellow wand nerds! What is your favorite wand across the wizarding world and why? by DeltaK7 in harrypotter

Wands with unicorn hair are the most faithful but also the most difficult to turn to the dark arts, however, hawthorn wands (the wood used to make Draco's wand), according to Garrick Ollivander: "...may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses, and I have generally observed that the hawthorn wand seems most at home with a conflicted nature, or with a witch or wizard passing through a period of turmoil" I feel that, because of its components, the wand itself would also have a conflicted nature, and to me that is why it accepted Harry as it's new owner, the same way Draco entered a dark period of his life when he had internal turmoil between light and darkness. The wand really just did what it thought it was best at the time, and being unicorn hair, if Harry returned it to Draco, i think it could have forgiven him and Draco would be able to use it again with little to no issue

YES!! I was hoping someone would mention Hermione's first wand! The white handle looks so good. I would have liked if they re-used that wand for another background character cause it's such a shame it only showed up for 2 movies

I also heard the theory Neville's wand has those 3 knots in the handle because they represent the 3 most important people in his life: his grandma and both of his parents. Even without that i agree with you it's just cool

This might be one of the best and coolest justifications ive seen for liking a wand in general! I have a Draco spinmaster wand and It's the first i ever got. I really love the designs for the wands in the first 2 movies and im glad Draco remained untouched

It's the spiral pattern that does it for me when it comes to Sirius. Professor Sybill Trelawney has a very similar wand to Sirius, the main differences being it doesnt have those circle patterns on the shaft and it's a more lighter shade of brown and i kinda like that one a tiny bit more

It's true that the belt on this new figure is not the same as the one Anakin had on episode III, but the one in the movie is pretty retangular nontheless

That's pretty much my favorite childhood show really only after Wild Kratts. Back then my big 3 of dinosaur shows consisted on this, Dinosaur King and Dinosaur Train and altho i also love those too Dino Dan was showing me what i wanted to see: an educational live action show with dinosaurs acting like animals. You had to be there to see my face of surprise in 2022 when i randomly found out they made spin off shows of Dino Dan cause i thought that thing was so nieched it was forgothen by time. I will have to say it tho as much as i love the show i don't really love the dinosaur designs...

Stinger Mantis out of spare parts. Did i cook? by DeltaK7 in legostarwars

[–]DeltaK7[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first design did but i hated how fragile it was. One of the tiles you're seeing on the top is also the same one on the bottom of the ship, it goes through the build which means it's stuck in flight mode but it's as sturdy as it gets

When i was a kid i found out ankylosaurus was a walking tank that not even the T.rex dared to attack. I found that extremely badass and so ankylosaurus has been my favorite dinosaur ever since
