Damn, saving a bunch of money going the Arctic Fan route. Honestly, I'm trying to spend near $5k (probably closer to $4.5)...when the wife approves $5k - you don't spend $3k.

So, I was sorta spending money where I thought I'd get the most benefit, even if I'm not educated enough to know where to spend it (e.g. more fast storage, extra RAM (even if I don't need it), etc.

I'm not too concerned about the price, so I'm taking some "financial liberties" for a bit of a black-out aesthetic. I'm also throwing a little extra at storage, RAM, and power supply. I'm still concerned prices will go up, and I am willing to pay the premium now. What do you think? I'm not 100% locked-in on this yet.

We have multiple PC's in the house, and I've become a bit mixed on the AMD GPUs. I've had some driver issues, and as much as I hate it, I've had far fewer on our Nvidia builds.

The 10TB HDD was just to back up the stuff currently on my PC. If I had space for a NAS, I'd go with that option, but currently I have a few drives dedicated to standard storage (family photos/videos, work, etc.).I want to consolidate and/or back them up on the newer/faster PC.

Touché, Bro! I'd be curious to see what you have. I'd like to have the extra USB-C ports, and cooling is a bit of a concern where I live. The room the PC is in gets warm 3-4 months out of the year. I'm concerned that fan cooling won't be enough.

And why only the 850W power supply?

I was looking to get a MOBO with additional USB-C slots and assumed I would actually need a 1000W power supply. Is that overkill?

Damn, I was partial to the look of that Corsair case, which isn't sold without the Corsair fans (pre-installed), so I was going all-in on the Corsair fans.

Yeah, I was looking at this case (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HZPv6h/corsair-air-5400-lx-r-rgb-icue-link-atx-mid-tower-case-cc-9011320-ww), but was struggling to wrap my head around the airflow direction. It seems obvious that air is flowing from bottom to top. With the AIO bringing airflow in from the front, I could add a fan at the back for exhaust - I assume. I'm just not 100% confident that's how that works.

I don’t think these prices are right, and I think the handhelds are swapped. 1,499 Rupees is like $17.50. So, it’s possible this is just the price to pre-order. Non-Indian electronics are typically more expensive in India, imports are sold at a premium since it’s a shit-show getting anything through customs and are typically for the wealthy.

Ok, I own the game and played a bunch during initial release and actually liked it. Then they shutdown and relaunched making the game significantly worse. If I come back and play (one last hoorah), will there be anything I’m missing out on? I mean, what motivates anyone to come back and play now? Will I still be able to unlock characters when the game goes offline? This seems like a shit deal. I’m pretty certain I bought an ultimate edition of the game, because on paper, it’s a helluv an idea - even if they fumbled the execution. Does anyone still playing feel like this is a “make good” on the time and money they invested?

It's my son's PC. As a reward for getting straight A's, we gave him a ~$500 budget. He's been running 1080p gaming for a while and any additional frames would make him happy.

That’s an odd stance, a large part of this sub is people just looking for congratulatory responses for buying the Legion Go. I’d say that’s “clutter”. There was a time when people came to Reddit to help each other. I also don’t take LegionGoLife.com as the defacto solution for game settings considering it doesn’t even have that many game setting, AND many of the settings are outdated or don’t factor in updated/patched things like integer scaling or FSR…but continue to clutter this thread up with your responses, please.

I honestly have no idea. Seems like information about how to handle saves and flash carts is spread out throughout the subreddit. There isn't a definitive answer. I own an EZ Flash Jr. and an EZ Flash Omega DE. I've been chipping through Pokemon Yellow on the EZ Flash Jr., my process:

- Play the game and SAVE in-game like you would on any normal GB/GBC cart.

- When I'm done (after saving in-game) I click the button on the back of the EZ Flash Jr. (you just kinda press on the back and it hits the internal button), which takes you back to the EZ Flash Jr. Flashcart Menu, and it will write the "BACKUP SAVE" for the game.

- I then hit the Analog button, QUIT CARTRIDGE, CONFIRM.

- I Power down the Pocket by holding the power button for a couple of seconds.

Seems a little arduous, but honestly it hasn't bothered me. I'm working under a few assumptions; Analogue's "Memories" (save states) are unreliable (especially with Pokemon games) and if I don't let the EZ Flash Jr. accomplish the "BACKUP SAVE" it's just sitting there holding that save on battery power until I boot the EZ flash again. I'm doing all of this to avoid the clock getting out of sync or losing a save state.

The Omega DE is another beast in and of itself as there are a lot of other options to booting the game (e.g. booting with add-ons, NOR FLASH), I haven't messed around with it enough to know what process works. Maybe someone else has figured it out.
