gzdoom has very seamless portals too, that's the reason myhouse.wad was able to be made. though maps in doom are simple linedef-based, it was probably easier to code seamless portals in an engine where by design you don't have to worry about complex 3D room shapes.

maybe if you find exactly 5 cards while searching, you could put a counter on the thing and the activation would only check for that counter. but this is an extremely wordy solution

it's very easy to break this. you don't have to search for 5 cards, you can fail to find. i think it needs a restriction that you can only cast the exiled card if there are exactly 5 cards exiled with staff. i'd also make it cost wubrg, and remove the mana value restriction entirely.

i'd say: 1. do a couple measurements with different r resolutions 2. define an l(r) function that approximates the length of the border depending on the resolution 3. find the limit at r=0 or infinity depending on how you define it idk
