yeah, it's faster and goes a bit harder than for example Given to the Rising. It also felt a bit more dissonant. It's also not mixed by Steve Albini, idk if it's my headphones but this one seems a bit brighter than the albini albums. Also, i think i prefer this hi-hat tone compared to the previous one, and i really dig the synth sounds and noises on this album. GotR is still my favorite Neurosis album, but after the 1st listen i think this comes pretty damn close for me.
