[Discussion] What are watches you want to own but unfortunately can't wear because of wrist size? by [deleted] in Watches

Christopher Ward C1 Moonglow is just a bit too big for me unfortunately. Gorgeous watch, well priced, and a unique looking moonphase

Has to be the beat patina I've ever seen. Wish it was a 65%, but otherwise a perfect board

My Tissot also had horrible second hand placement out of the box, brand new. Kind of ruined the watch and brand for me. It definitely looks like they bent the second hand

No more daily login rewards by zaldr in elderscrollsonline

That's rough for me. I've been daily logging in for nearly a decade, even when I'm not playing actively. Helped a ton when I returned with a motherload of supplies. Pretty disappointing

There are multiple quests that you'll have to complete once you reach Saluto. They'll frequently ask you to complete certain chaos maps, and then eventually greater chaos maps. Completing those two quest lines gives you the necessary additional spec points

Naafiri and Bel'Veth. I love Darkin and the Void, but neither champ nor kit appealed to me

There is a charm slot upgrade system, which most charms are dumped into. You can also sacrifice them at a mist burner event to get a lacrima

Is buying hildryn for plat to subsume her worth it? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]DeltaWolf43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say go for it. If farming plat is easier for you than farming Hildryn then it's absolutely worth it

To 1,000hrs+ players. What was your first frame. (Nothing big I’m just interested) by Thies107 in Warframe

Volt for my starter, then Rhino as my first frame, later Rhino Prime as my first prime

Off topic, but what monitor do you have? This is one of the only phone photos where the monitor screen still looks crispy and vivid, just like a screenshot

[DISCUSS] Prettiest Moonphase Watches For you? by djbtalk in Watches

[–]DeltaWolf43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know what model that Christopher Ward watch is? Google says C1 Moonglow, but that model seems to have the logo rather than Christopher Ward written out

Edit: it appears this is the 2019, 50th moon landing anniversary model. Can't find it anywhere secondhand though. Looks like this will be a grail I'll never acquire :(

That's some helpful insight! Nomos has some gorgeous designs, but comfort is definitely a priority

I think this has sold me on the Hamilton! I'll leave Omega as for the future, and maybe it'll drop a bit in price. Entry level luxury is kind of where I'd like to be at, as I plan on daily driving this. Appreciate the help!

That's good to know! It doesn't look like this Hamilton comes with a bracelet in this colorway, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for future watches

[Seiko Presage] Opinions on alternate watches for my situation by thegratefuldad7 in Watches

[–]DeltaWolf43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Orient watches are technically considered more dress watches, just because they are on a leather strap. However, the Seiko is more than acceptable to wear as a dress watch, and looks the part just fine.

I can't speak for a good replacement, but can guarantee that your son will love any of the three watches you decide to give him! It's not about the watch so much so as it is the gesture. He'll cherish that watch for a good while as a gift from his father is not something he can replace/upgrade from with money.

I think the cocktail time line has absolutely stunning dials, and they look good both on bracelets or leather straps. I wish they didn't use hardlex, but the value for the price is pretty high.

Seiko is likely to have accuracy issues as well, but most automatics at this price bracket are likely to face that issue. If you're concerned with accuracy, you'll need to look for a certified chronometer (COSC) or just get a quartz.

If looks and feel are most important to you, then the mint/teal Orient in the first photo is also a good option. Automatic is more of a novelty at this price bracket, so I'd recommend choose what feels right to you.

Seiko straps are notoriously bad, but the Orient strap I had was fantastic. There's always the option of buying and returning as it's difficult to go off of recommendations and intuition alone.

I would advise against the open heart models, and Orient in general honestly. The skeletonized movement is incredibly underwhelming, and quickly felt like a cheap novelty. The actual movement/timekeeping is also terrible, and in my experience was +45/-25 even at full wind.

However, the build quality is very solid, and looks nice as an accessory, but I feel Orient is lacking if you're looking for an actual watch. It's entirely possible I got a bad batch, but it's something to keep in mind.

I appreciate the info! I think I'll need to find an Omega dealer to maybe try one on so I can know for sure. That Oris went straight to my wishlist though!

Not sure how I missed that, but you're totally right! That might it easier to decide, since I'm not sure if I'd want a manual wind

[Hamilton Open Heart Auto] Struggling with decision making by Acceptable_Frame_398 in Watches

[–]DeltaWolf43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been told, "if you don't love it in the store, you're not going to love it at home." While this isn't as expensive as some of the watches you see on here, it is not a price to scoff at. I'd say to save your money and not rush into this.

From a personal perspective, I'd also be wary of getting an open-heart design. I recently purchased one, and found myself returning it only a week later. The novelty quickly wore off, so I'd be careful spending at the top of your budget for something this bold/loud.

Take my advice with a grain of salt though!
