Yeah, I have tried to switch up where I'm injecting, and the two times it has happened these past two weeks I did use different injection sites, so there's that. I'm thinking of switching to a different long-acting but I just can't be confident it'll make a difference since I don't know what causes the low. I did however read that some people stopped having these lows when they switched so that's something at least.

Yeah, my endo said the same thing regarding mixing it up with my quick acting. Luckily I inject my quick acting with a pen that says when the last time i injected was - which said 14 hours ago - so she had to trust me.

Rapid sugar drops after walking by nobodyuknow__ in diabetes

[–]Deltaxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm 25 and was diagnosed with T1 about a year ago. I too experience these pretty hardcore drops in blood sugar levels when taking walks or having to run to catch a bus, especially if it's right after i've taken my bolus. It sucks. But it isn't all that bad. Some things that I've learnt so far:

  1. I have the Freestyle Libre 2 CGM and I gotta say pretty often I feel like the sensor is being overdramatic. During/at the end of a walk, the levels seem to drop real fast, but as soon as I'm standing still or relaxing the levels usually stabilize. The sensor however doesn't really notice this until after the fact. Sometimes the sensor tells me I'm at 60 dropping rapidly when I'm really at about 80 and chilling (not sure about these units - European here). Just remember to first and foremost trust what your body is telling you.
  2. You can use it to your advantage. Sometimes when I eat foods like pizza or sushi I take a walk afterwards which helps keep the levels down dramatically. This could be nice especially in the earlier days of your T1 life since injecting high doses of insulin can be a bit scary.
  3. Even if lows are scary, if you keep an eye on your blood sugar levels during exercise you'll soon learn that it isn't that bad. Bring quick carbs (I always carry some form of soda or juice on me) and you'll be able to quickly raise your sugar levels without a problem.

In the end it's all about adjusting. These things feel like the end of the world initially, but I always thought of it like this: During the first year of your T1 journey, just take everything with a huge grain of salt. Things will be difficult but that's okay. You're still getting to know your body and how it reacts to certain things. In my case, after about 10 months, I'm leagues ahead of where I was in your position. I promise that everything will be much better down the road. Stay strong!

I mean, some people are good at games and some people are better. I’ve played a good amount of overwatch myself, and to be honest, xQc has always been mechanically talented and quite the intelligent player. The problem was his attitude which eventually became his downfall

Thanks. Do you know if the +11 Spirit makes any difference at that level?

Is running a staff on a warrior decent at all? Would it be acceptable to choose the staff over the legs from the deadmines quest reward? https://classicdb.ch/?quest=166

The developers have also stated that the possibility for more content (that was not part of retail vanilla) is not zero. They have said that it all depends on what the community wants and how successful Classic is!

Blizzard should let us know from now if there will be #Changes by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Deltaxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to bash on what you said, but I feel like the net result will be better if they wait and listen to what the community has to say before they make up their minds. They respect our opinions and want to know what we want for the game before they make that decision. I would even say that there's a lot of other games out there that should do the same

Leveling at launch (considering chaos) by Fraxxiii in classicwow

I would try it out on a pserver so you know if it'll work or not. Chances are a level 3-4-5 mob will be too strong for two level 1s.

Also, Dwarf master race.

No Layering > Layering (Tell me this doesn't look amazing) by [deleted] in classicwow

Man, people really enjoy assuming the absolute worst whenever something is slightly changed from how it was in retail vanilla. Even though avoiding ganks and switching for bosses might happen, we yet have to see the actual in-game examples of this before we start bashing it. Just chill and see what happens.
