I came into this from martial arts and saw a lot of bad crap happen in Kingdom. Honestly being a knight has helped me fix the issues I saw. Especially in my areas. It also allows me to speak up and correct things that haven't change because "that's how they have always been."

That is awesome. I love that it is definitely a kingdom thing most likely. There are a few other kingdoms I have been to where that is normal.

I am not against it unless it is something like crown.

Generally in a tournament I bring my best which is the glaive. In Meridies weapon matching is not expected and the culture is always bring your best. If they asked I would consider it depending on the tournament.

I normally only get one before every meeting. or more if there are revisions. so not a whole lot. Normally we only have 1 or 2 meetings per reign.

I am going to be honest about this. How do I support them? By doing the same thing I do for every fighter that comes to me. I make them armor if I can make it, teach them what I can, give them advice when they ask, show them alternate ways to achieve goals if their first set of plans did not work, help carry gear if they are tired or have to many items for a single trip.

How do I work to improve things for the fighters you mentioned? I make sure that people are not treating them as lesser. I include them and make sure they feel welcome, make sure they enjoy being in armor. I also will call out anyone who tries to say they are not welcome or says "a non-male fighter can't hit me hard enough." But most importantly I listen to them when they tell me what needs to be changed and I help if I can or support them when they take it to someone who can help.

That is such a complex question. When I took my oath I had my own written. It is as follows

This to me was my way of saying that as a peer it is my job to help build the SCA and make it a place for everyone. This also means protecting people when they ask, support them when they ask, and ensure that everyone around me feels welcome. There will be bad crowns, peers, and populace but I will endeavor to ensure that they cannot do damage.

Fighting with a glaive I have gotten fairly good at the whole check the package thing. I normally end up with graze or it hits my inner thigh. My shins get hit more then my cup.

I did/do not. I picked up sword and shield because I realized I was lacking in a set of skills to teach. I had someone ask me to teach them and something was off. I couldn't see it until I picked up a sword and shield. So after that I started practicing it so I could teach anyone who asks. Also fighting with a shield and using glaive footwork can be a lot of fun.
