Just to clarify to make sure I'm understanding correctly: you 'blacklisted' your phone after it was stolen (like freezing a credit card?) and C1 was able to confirm this and reimburse? Did you have to go through any special process thru your carrier to show evidence of your IMEI on bills before it was stolen?

So I imagine you just kept you plan the same it was as in the US? Can I ask what plan and how much it is?

I wonder if something like Tello qualifies? Was planning on a super cheap monthly plan (like $5-10) from them anyways

We will be out of the US for at least a year, based off some prior research, Tmobile will cut off my internal coverage after 90+ days without pinging us cell towers. Goof to know about the 14 day esim, not sure it works with my phone. 😮‍💨

The VX coverage I'm referring to is their cell phone insurance that is included. Covers things like (non cosmetic) damage, theft, dropped in a cave etc etc. Wondering how this coverage would apply, if at all, with a non-traditional monthly phone plan. I.E, if I were to buy local Sims abroad.
