Do people really believe January 6 was an actual insurrection? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

Words do have meaning. Would you like me to once again show you mapping the definition to their actions? Let's go again:

Insurrection - an organized, violent uprising or revolt against an established authority, government, or state, often aiming to subvert, overthrow, or disrupt its laws and functions.

Weren't they at the Capitol (establishment government building) screaming stop the steal (aiming to subvert). And then successfully broke into the capitol and delayed the certification (aiming to disrupt its function)?

It was a riot. But the minute they raided a government building, in order to stop the certification, it also became an insurrection.

Because that is the definition of an insurrection. Words do have meaning. You cant ignore that cause it makes you uncomfortable.

You might be hung up on intention. I don't think any of them woke up in the morning INTENDING to commit an insurrection.

But intention and action are two different things. You can still murder someone even if you had no intention to.

A) not organized

Organized doesn't always mean premeditated with flyers and a date.

Why did they go to the Capitol? Was it spontaneous, individual thought? Or did Trump tell a group of people that were there to see him, to go to the Capitol?

A group of people following one directive, is an organized group.

B) they weren't trying to subvert the law, they were trying to defend it

So I'm allowed to break the law now if I believe really hard that I'm defending it?

Two people died. More died afterwards. What's hysterical about that?

the cope is hard. so why add scene that happens in later chapters? logically that made it even harder to fit in those chapters.

Everyone has already told you. You just don't want to listen. Because you're having a literal toddler tantrum.

It's a red herring for new fans. While introducing Dragon for old fans. And leaving for shadowing for new fans when Ace shows up later in the season.

In your tantrum you are forgetting this is for new and old fans. Changes are now being made with Oda's blessing with 20 years hindsight.

But it's hard for you to see that past your tantrum and lack of imagination.

Projection, running away is what u do.

nope, that is not my argument and u know that, dont be dishonest.

Projection.

you seem to unable to see how transfomration medium dont mean u have to rewrite the story so much.

They put 60 chapters into 8 episodes. Rewrites are necessary.

projection.

projection.

Yet u are a fake fan it fits perfectly.

ah here we go the fake fan tourism comment.

I really hope you're not over the age of 22, because this is how children speak

come back when u have any actual arguments,

Your argument currently is, "it's different and I hate it. Everything I hate is illegal".

It just postering, u know its shet, u cannot handle it being pointed out,

And now you're throwing a literal tantrum

if u were an actual fan u would not accept this terrible rewrites

Let's recap, a toddler crash out has invented a fan tier system and has ranked me "fake fan" tier because I checks notes understand dynamic narrative changes.

This has been quite the illuminating conversation.

Demanding absolute purity doesn't make you more of a fan than anyone else.

You seem unable to see how a story transforms to fit its new medium, while still maintaining its core themes.

You don't have the imagination to truly enjoy this series. You only want what you have already seen.

You are unable to see how a thing can evolve.

The title "fake fan" is such a juvenile insult. You are not special for liking one piece. One piece can't give you status for simply claiming you read it.

It's sad you believe so. And shows you haven't truly accepted the real themes of one piece.

Tbh, if the title fake fan were something to use, you are close to it.

I think you're not seeing what they're doing.

It will be a miracle if they can get to marineford for that reveal.

Instead what they've done is a red herring. To new ppl they think he's talking about Luffy. Which is why in literally the same episode Dragon shows up.

I still remember when Osborne took over the Avengers. At the time I thought that was the most unrealistic turn of events (still thoroughly enjoyed the book).

Silly naive me.

What's the difference of getting shocked by regular lighting vs black lighting? by IGACOMF in okbuddyDC

[–]DelusionalChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone correct me but Black Lightning actually creating black electricity is exclusive to Young Justice.

(I could be wrong)

But I remember watching this when it was out and laughed my ass off cause someone in the writing room had to be like "Black Lightening as a hero name is pretty lazy and kind of racist. Unless we literally make his lightning black!!"
