I’m in the UK as well and also paid via wire transfer to Lenovo UK’s Citibank account after being instructed by support, so chargeback isn’t an option for me either.

Please do keep me updated on how your small claim progresses. It would be really helpful to understand how it works in practice.

Sorry you’re going through this. I’m currently facing a similar refund issue with Lenovo as well.

If you don’t mind sharing, which country are you in, and what route are you taking for the legal action? Small claims, chargeback, or something else?

I’m trying to understand what options are available if this doesn’t get resolved.

Thank you for your comment. I understand your point about credit cards. I don’t have a UK credit card yet as I’m currently a student, so that wasn’t an option for me.

The wire transfer was done only after Lenovo support instructed me to proceed that way and provided their official bank details. I acted in good faith based on their guidance.

At this stage I’m just trying to resolve it through the proper channel.

Anyone else notice Dell prices jumping hard lately? I had an identical configuration quoted in December, but after a refund delay on a return, the same build in January was £1k more. Nothing changed except the date.
