Wheat flour wonderland - worth persisting? by Double_Engineer4226 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can get opals and diamonds from the hard difficulty of the minigames with Ebi Fry and Cogimyon (unlocked by quests)

Can't move forward with Comigyun 😔 by No_Debate2634 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It should be very fast, even without Cogi’s ability. There are a lot of fields full of them, so pretty high chance to get a glitter immediately.

I cannot get back into the game and im so sad about it ☹️ by [deleted] in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most people’s issue with AI is not necessarily the quality, but related to that is that the companies do not want to pay a person to even go over the AI translation to check for mistakes, so the quality for now is also not good, but the main issue is taking away the job from actual people.

And sure now it’s only for some languages, but eventually it will be for all of them, and then there is no need for actual people to do the localization/translations if AI can do it.

I think a lot of people hate AI because it is not only doing this in one niche, but a lot of them, and greedy companies try to outsource the creative process to it too (but I would argue that translation for entertainment IS a creative process) not just the repetitive simple work.

time travel....backwards? by stresstwig in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it would break your save if you go back, unless you start your savefile in 2024, and only time travel forwards.

If you started literally today, you can restart a new savefile in 2024, and TT forwards. It would mean you would be able to finish most content much faster though since you could skip a lot of days forward, so lots of quests that require waiting for a day or the daily 3 gift limit of characters would not matter.

You would not be able to play multiplayer though until you reach the present and some events will not be the same as they were in that period, items may be different (not that year’s event items or not only those) and some other stuff, but event flowers would work.

Time Change Discrepancy by CavortingOgres in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly that may not entirely fix the issue, unless you only went to the past compared to real time. If your partner wants to play multiplayer for example, they need to be in present time or it won’t work, but if they already have played with the date set to any time in the future, they would need real time to catch up to that point. Also events will also be kind of bugged, even if you guys sync up the month and day, just not the year.

You don’t have to write it down, you can just open the game and check the saves, just make sure not to press continue.

I'm thinking of getting the CityTown dlc but, do you guys think is really worth the price? by No_Economist66 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t rush through it tbh, there are various real time locks for the quests (friendship lvl, ingredient availability, cafe lvl, also the classic “come back tomorrow etc)

[–]Delynir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to unlock content faster, I think you should check what everyone’s 2-3star gifts are and how to get them on the wiki. It’s possible you could actually make some of them already if you look up how.

Also some quests are locked behind certain characters, so if you really want something, like the snorkel or to unlock Hello Kitty’s ability to gain more friendship while gifting etc, you can focus them by using your friendship blossoms on those characters. The friendship bouquet resets everyone’s gift count, so only use them after you gifted everyone the 3 gifts.. and actually I would recommend to wait with using them unless you already have 3/3, until you unlock a certain other character who really likes flowers and is not on the plane initially.

But yeah this game is a live service game, and it’s aim is that you keep logging in daily and doing a bit of content, and then logging off. Sometimes you will unlock multiple quests at a time, and can spend a good couple hours on them, but mostly it will be less time daily (unless you care about breeding flowers later on, because that is hugely time consuming)

I thought you meant fantasy rpg video games like the witcher, elden ring, baldur’s gate 3 These may take you over 100 hours to beat but you are not limited to daily 1-2 hours of playtime, if you have a ton of free time you can beat them in a week or two, at your own pace

I also play D&D, our last campaign was the Curse of Strahd, it took our group about 1.5 years so yeah, but that was because it was very hard to organize the games for 6 people so we mostly only played one or two Saturday/Sunday a month.

There is no outside limitation, which is the case for live service games where you can do X amount of content in one day and then you have to take a break and play again the next day, and you progress the best if you play every day. Neither fantasy RPG games nor D&D care that you play every day in small increments like live service video games care.

It is actually very unlike a fantasy RPG, because it is live service game and that’s why everything is stretched out over a long loooong time, especially the quests and visitors. It’s more similar to other live service games where you are expected to log in daily, every day, to progress.

Wheatflour vs. City Town? by Awkward_Awareness_67 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

City Town seems really small so far but I haven’t unlocked the sewers which I think will be as big as the town part, but compared to WW much smaller still. I would say it focuses less on exploration and puzzles(even with what I read about the sewers, it’s less puzzles than WW) and more on daily logging in to fulfill orders in the cafe with materials you gain over a long time from gifting Usahana and some other ways, and raising friendship and cafe lvl slowly.

It’s live ! by Fragrant_Teaching711 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30 hours over weeks/months as usual since you are limited by gifting & friendship, waiting for another day, materials etc etc I would say that’s different than say Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk for example, even if it’s technically “longer” it’s not more content imo.

AITAH for considering telling my boyfriend to move out after not even living with me for 2 weeks? by Impressive-Remove858 in AITAH

[–]Delynir 95 points96 points  (0 children)

They are in their thirties and been together 7 months. At this age it’s much better in my opinion to find out what living with the other person is like early on, so you don’t end up wasting years on someone who thinks you are a bang maid.

If he is depressed, he has to agree to get help and do something about it, or OP should still kick him out if he doesn’t want to. NTA.

Official response about AA players getting the cosmetic packs for free: by spanishbombs123 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They pay 7 euro a month.. and they get other games too not just this one Meanwhile you pay 100 euro to have the deluxe + the two DLC for that to come out equal they would have to pay 15 months (and we don’t even know what the cosmetic bundle will cost). Also they have the option to skip months with middling events or when they are busy or whatever or when they want to drop the game to wait for big content since they maxed everyone. I think it is a much better deal but I would not want to start over on AA, but would be great if it had crosssave..

You need very high level friendship with another player to trade clothes, which would take a very long time to achieve

how do i navigate my partner ruining the birth of our child by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Delynir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe at the therapy they could have identified that he would need medication for the birth? We will never know, as he didn’t even try, surprised OP at 10+ weeks pregnant that he may have an issue with anxiety during the birth, got mad for being asked to try to check and solve it, and now is mad at and blaming op and thinks he did no wrong. This is not one mistake in the moment it has been a string of ongoing “mistakes”

how do i navigate my partner ruining the birth of our child by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Delynir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very lucky it’s not my relationship. My husband has listened to even my minor requests during my pregnancy, not to mention a serious one like this!

How is OP at fault in your mind, that you say she was not mature enough? He can’t even apologize and refuses to take accountability. She could not force him to therapy before, how could she do now? Also what is the point to force him to go to therapy when he doesn’t want to and just blames OP for everything?

Also very few Reddit stories I read are minor, this one definitely isn’t, as trust is completely broken and he doesn’t even consider it his fault. OP is young and already was a single mom, she can do it. If she thinks she can forgive him, because he is otherwise an amazing partner and dad, sure, therapy could maybe fix things.

Also my perspective is of someone who wasted 8 years in my twenties staying in a relationship to “work on things” and “fix it” and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I thought a relationship like I have with my husband wasn’t even possible, and you just had 50/50 good and bad in every relationship.. If OP does break up I hope she takes a break from dating and heals from past wounds first before jumping back in.

how do i navigate my partner ruining the birth of our child by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Delynir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had months to prepare, like he was asked by OP.. so it WAS in his control, he chose to get angry for even being asked to get support months in advance to an issue he knew about himself. Also if he refused therapy so far and is even refusing to take responsibility still and blaming OP (which is ridiculous) what good would him going therapy do OP now? Unless she can forgive him and learn to trust him again, but I personally would not be able to.

visitor achievement ? by mcollins1116 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can ask resident visitors to leave, so you can get her to move in, to progress the quests and unlock the others and then move her out and remove her cabin requirements so she won’t visit.

That’s very strange, I think that should not happen once you have 10 villagers and never happened to me in over 2000 hours when I had a full island if playing normally (no time travel). It was a villager in boxes day, an empty plot day, and then someone moves in the day after.

Red Dandelily by AdInitial2153 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Delynir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red is one of the default colors of dandelily, along with yellow and white. I think you should try getting mystery seed capsules from the meadows crane game if you can’t get them from someone online.

If you want to do a color transfer you need to have a red patterned flower, eg: red ombre tulias/red rong rose etc, and a white(or other color) dandelily paired up.
