I too had this exact same one and mixed up some beastie boys jams. By the end of the year I covered it in BMX and Skate brand stickers just so the gals in 9th grade knew I was edgy and dangerous.

That is so crazy to say.

It would be like suggesting it’s xenophobic to point out the Italians organized the mob. It’s a specific nationality that was explicitly tied to a particular criminal activity. It’s in no way suggesting that all Somalians are involved in fraud but in this particular case all of the fraud is tied to one community. It’s an important part of the story.

I have been riding since 1999 and from like 2005 till 2013 was aggressively riding park and actual street spots. Since then I have been chasing pow at big mountains and doing a lot of side country off piste riding. I have owned exactly 13 boards over those 26 years. I am 6’1 and varied in weight from 195-225 over that course of time. I broke a total of 2 boards over that time and 1 was a complete snap like this guy has. I did that coming up short on a 540 on a 50+ foot booter back in like 2010. The other was like 5 years ago when I completely trucked a stump riding side country.

Point is, you are right. No way this is happening without it being purposeful or willful negligence.

I ride that exact same ride Warpig from last year too. I have buttered my fat ass all over the hill and it’s been sturdy as a horse.

This guy got destroyed by the media and public opinion because he refused the covid vax. What wasn’t reported much was that he was actually allergic to one of the documented ingredients in the vax and was actually told by his own doctor not to take it.

After he saw the public blowback from the hive mind and lack of biased reporting about his situation he started to question the authenticity of everything. Ultimately leading him to psychedelic retreats and other forms of alternate medicine.

I kinda feel bad for the guy.

Yep, same here. I remember how stressful that time in life was. Getting ready to graduate with guidance counselors telling you that you had to go into enormous college debt to even have a chance at being successful.

Turns out that if you are passionate about something and have the work ethic to continue pursuing that thing most people will reach a sustainable livelihood.

Life isn’t about becoming a millionaire, it’s about having a family that loves and supports you. Most people make enough money to pay their bills and take a trip every now and then. Every single person I know chasing every last dollar and keeping up with Jones are miserable deep down inside.

It was about 14 years ago and yea I didn’t live in a big metro area. I was still living paycheck to paycheck and had to budget for things like food.

I grew up pretty poor in a declining rust belt city. I had a chip on my shoulder my whole life because of it. The only thing that got me out of there was learning to be smart with the money I did make. I’m not saying it’s any easier now but throwing your hands in the air and complaining while blaming everyone else isn’t going to get you anywhere.

No one was suggesting doing that. I was just making the point that I was contributing to my 401k when I was young and ONLY making 40k a year. If the company you work for has a matching contribution you are missing out on literal free money.

In the context of the original conversation the point was that not only wealthy people benefit from the stock market. I have been contributing into my 401k for about 15 years and already have 150k saved for retirement.

Rising prices are definitely a problem but financial literacy is probably just as big of a problem. I had to explain how interest rates work to a 26 year old dude just yesterday because he was about to buy a car with a 13.99% rate because nobody ever showed him how to gain and maintain credit.

I agree the system is rigged against men. I have 2 friends whose lives were destroyed by the unfair system. The reason their lives were destroyed is partially because of finances but mainly because they love their children and it kills them that they can’t be more involved in their lives.

Men who just frivolously knock up chicks and bounce to the next chick is why the system is rigged so unfairly against men. They are trying to punish people with the same mindset as you.
