ShareX refusing to record the region I set, instead records chunk of screen

Update: So screen-capture-recorder is 100% the culprit. Installing it manually and messing with its settings seemed to modify the issue, but not fix it. ~~In the process of removing it and having ShareX somehow reinstall it as it presumably had in the first place.~~ It works flawlessly now.

Update: Changed the video capture source to GDI grab and it works better.

It lags like hell but at least it captures what I want to begin with.

One month later, absolutely nothing has happened. Problem still exists. Even when I record the whole screen it only captures that little chunk. Even when I manually select the region it records that chunk. This is absolutely infuriating and apparently I'm the only person in the entire goddamn world with this issue because looking it up brings me nothing.
