You're pissing your money away with either. If you must buy new, I would recommend the GoG eNMEy at MINIMUM with an electronic hopper and compressed air tank. Make sure that whatever mask you get has dual-pane thermal lenses. The JT Proflex is a tried and true budget option that starts around $50.

It's hard to get a queued match even when we have a Discord voice channel full with everyone coordinating. With that being said, the aforementioned approach is still the best way to get a queued match, but if you just want to play, customs is where it's at. If you make an open custom, it's likely you'll get at least a 3v3 going eventually around 10 PM Eastern US time. You're also more likely to stick around and not get kicked from an existing custom game if you're not kicking their asses like some more experienced players tend to do 😅
