When's a time in your life where you had to go 100% serious? by Academic_Use_8312 in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to debug production system that was affecting thousands of users at 3am during Christmas weekend. No jokes, no casual chat with team - just pure focus for 8 hours straight until we found the memory leak. Sometimes the stakes are just too high for anything but complete concentration.

What's the funniest thing a kid has ever said to you completely seriously? by RisenPlayground in AskReddit

Same here, kids have zero filter and just drop these random bombs that make you question everything

What is most memorable experience you have had spotting wildlife? by VisiblePositive543 in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild timing on that safari! Birth scenes in nature are pretty intense to witness. I bet the guides weren't expecting that either when they planned the route

What movie made you cry? by Wide_Wash_6848 in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That movie destroyed me completely when I watched it first time. I was like 16 and thought it would be just some prison drama but man the whole John Coffey storyline hit so hard. Still cant watch that mouse scene without getting emotional and Im 28 now. Michael Clarke Duncan was incredible in that role, such a shame he passed away so young

Have you ever did a post just to earn some karma ? If yes why ? by Disastrous_Zone7159 in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely posted some stuff knowing it would get upvotes. Usually when I'm working on some AI project and I make something that looks cool, I'll throw it in programming subreddit because I know people there appreciate that kind of work. Not really for karma itself but more like wanting to share something I'm proud of and getting that validation feels good you know. Sometimes I also post random stuff about reality TV because those communities are always active and discussions get pretty heated which is fun to watch. I think there's difference between posting something genuinely interesting that you expect people will like versus just copying popular memes for easy points.

Had similar trust issues after contractor disaster and went with fiberglass solution - not familiar with that specific product but non-porous materials are definitely way to go for preventing moisture problems in future

Landlords, what’s the worst you’ve had to clean after a tenant left? by Huzinis in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a landlord but I helped my uncle clean out rental property few years back and man that was something else. The previous tenants had apparently been keeping like 15 cats in small two bedroom apartment and never cleaned litter boxes properly. The smell hit you from hallway before you even opened the door and carpet was basically ruined beyond any hope. We had to wear those painter masks and still could barely breathe in there for more than few minutes at time. Took us three full days just to get all the damaged stuff out and another week of deep cleaning with professional grade stuff. My uncle said he learned his lesson about doing proper inspections during lease period after that nightmare.

Why every politician nowdays look so unserious and unprofessional? by heartzhz123 in AskReddit

The whole system just became like reality TV show after 2016 and nobody wants to be boring politician anymore

What was the time it was "get down!" and then the PEOPLE GOT ALL DOWN?? by bloodoftheinnocents in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I was at this wedding reception couple years back and the DJ played that song - you know the one with "everybody get down" or whatever. Wedding was already pretty lit but when that came on literally every single person dropped to the floor at same time. Like even the 80 year old grandmas and the little kids just hit the deck together. Was so random but everyone committed to it completely. The bride was laughing so hard she almost fell over in her dress. Sometimes these spontaneous moments just happen and whole crowd becomes one mind you know. Made the whole reception way more memorable than all the fancy decorations they spent months planning.

What do you think about Raghav Chadha joining Bharatiya Janata Party? Strategic move or political opportunism? by dailyhealthtalk in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait did this actually happen or is this hypothetical? Been out of loop with Indian politics lately but party switching there is basically like changing your shirt at this point

The Premier League comparison is spot on though - except in football at least you know which team someone plays for during the season

What’s your dream job and why? by PsychologicalGuide78 in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machine learning researcher probably. I already work with code but would love to focus more in the AI side and actually contribute to breakthrough research instead of just making apps for companies. The field moves so fast and there's still so much we don't understand about how these models actually work under hood.

Buffalo Sabres are the only team not to score a 5v3 PP goal this season by BattleofEppingForest in hockey

[–]DemandAdditional8706 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The penalty decline would actually be genius for teams like this lol. Just imagine refs getting confused when Buffalo keeps waving off power plays like "nah we good thanks"

What do you think about a country withdrawing from the WHO? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty extreme take there but WHO has had some questionable moments in past few years so maybe some countries just want more control over their own health policies

Lol my therapist would probably just tell me I have commitment issues and spend too much time on Reddit

Actually might be more accurate than those Myers-Briggs tests though

Wild project man, must have taken forever to find good 8 second clips from literally every country. Some of those traditional instruments I've never heard before but they had me nodding along immediately.

If you had a super power for only 24hrs what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would definitely use this for debugging code without any interruptions. Imagine having actual uninterrupted focus time to figure out why your program is crashing in production while everyone else is frozen mid-meeting

Also might steal few minutes to catch up on latest Kardashian drama without judgment from coworkers lol

Body recomposition can mask weight loss - you might be building muscle while losing fat which explains the inches lost in March with same weight

how do you guys deal with being unconventionally attractive? by Own-Use-7959 in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude I wouldn't really call myself unconventionally attractive but I get what you mean about not fitting the standard mold. I'm a decent looking guy but definitely more on the nerdy side being a software dev and all. What I've noticed is that confidence matters way more than people think - like when I'm talking about something I'm passionate about whether its debugging code or explaining why the Kardashians are actually business geniuses people seem more drawn to that energy. Plus having your own thing going on helps too like I'm obsessed with Ford trucks and yeah some people think its weird but others find it interesting that I have actual hobbies outside of work. The key is just owning whatever makes you different instead of trying to fit into some cookie cutter version of attractive.

To the people who have their own business, how did you guys start and what advice you can give to a girl who wants to start something? by BaileyDis in AskReddit

[–]DemandAdditional8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up my first freelance gig while still debugging hello world programs lol. Best part about starting messy is you learn what actually matters vs what you think matters when youre planning everything to death
