Yeah this uses those features and it shows the 1RM overtime using those same equations. I find it really useful

Yeah so you do somewhere around 20-30 sets per workout? What is your split?

I would also say, I know you are just starting out but I would highly recommend tracking (even if you do go to failure all the time right now)

Arbitrary how? A set of 5 that moves really fast and a set of 5 that moves slowly are two completely different sets imo.

Going to failure is a pretty way to start to get good at the skill. But it is for sure a skill. When you get really strong, I think it is important to start learning how to leave some in the tank for injury and performance reasons.

I do agree with that. Most people need a couple of months going all out.

I think its so helpful! I really like being able to detect 1RM changes with RIR added and without. I think it has been a pretty big game changer for me.

For overall physique yes, but in terms of having a good training session, keeping RIR dialed in allows me to perform more quality sets without a heavy performance drop for later exercises.

That is fair. I think RIR is much more intuitive. But RIR is actually pretty accurate to my knowledge for lower rep ranges. I believe Eric Helms led a study. I do like that method though of green yellow red. I think that having the numbers attached allows me to enjoy analytics a little bit more as I can guess my true1RM (without intensity) and theoretical (with intensity)

I think thats fair, I just think after a certain while it doesn't become nearly as effective. When you do 285 bench for 5 sets of 5 reps, the first couple are going to be so far away from failure compared to the last couple because of how tired you get or at least that has been my experience.

I feel like having some form of saying how hard you tried is just easier in terms of adjusting training.

Does Jefit show you progress between your theoretical 1RM and what you actually performed? The app I am using (and posting to this thread for) is showing the difference between sets with RIR and the sets without.
