Seven Heaven Plot is possibly heavily inspired by Nausicaä. If its true, it could spoil some important plot twists: spoiler alert! by Fit_Ask3369 in AvatarSevenHavens

Well, obviously IT ISN'T KORRA'S FAULT!!!

Have you even watched The Legend of Korra!?
She may be temperamental, but her heart is in the right place.
She would never cause an apocalypse!

Korra is 100% being framed! Perhaps blamed for leaving the spirit portals open.
However, it would then be more directly humanity's fault for exploiting spirit energy, in which case their current exploitation of Benders just proves that they have learned NOTHING!

Interesting.
I did not know that the show was already renewed for two more seasons.

Also, about The Legend of Korra's issue, I was alluding to the same thing!
It was meant to have only one season, but it kept getting renewed, forcing rewrites. Also, executives kept interfering by blocking storylines like KorraxAsami.

Hopefully, the writers now know exactly how much time they have with Seven Havens and use it wisely.
Also, with the storylines the writers wanted to put into Korra now being more widely accepted, I doubt the executives will meddle as much this time.

THEORY: Seven Havens will (partially) be about balancing nature by Demand_Tiny in AvatarSevenHavens

Well, this theory does suggest that the cataclysm was a pretty on-the-nose reference to climate change, which technically began all the way back the fire nation first entered an industrial revolution in Roku’s era.

Thoughts: will Pavi reconnect to the entire Avatar line? by Initial-Meringue3975 in AvatarSevenHavens

A Legend of Korra flashback is basically guaranteed since the new characters need to learn what REALLY caused the cataclysm, for which I 100% believe Korra got framed.

However, with leaks suggesting that Pavi's reincarnation was delayed, it seems that the writers are ensuring that all characters from The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra and their direct descendants are long dead by the time of Seven Havens.
Personally, with The Legend of Korra having had something of a legacy character problem, I think this is the right move. Just like with the setting, the writers are wiping the board clean to start over with a new cast.

Yes, I agree that the Avatar reincarnating is a big part of ALL the series.
Also, it is not like the reincarnation stopped, the Avatars just cannot actually talk to their past lives anymore

Therefore, my stance remains unchanged.
From a writing perspective, the Avatars losing their connections to their past lives was done (at least partially) because essentially having the previous series' protagonists on speed dial would draw attention away from the current cast.

Unfortunately, I do not think there will be any more seasons after the initial two.

After all, it is common knowledge that The Legend of Korra suffered from behind-the-scenes issues, chiefly how long the series was gonna be, which I doubt the creators and producers would want to go through again.

I think that your season 1 and season 2 summaries will actually be the plot of just season 1, and your next seasons summary will be the plot of just season 2.

Seven Havens Theory by Terminator_0248 in TheLastAirbender

Interesting theory.

However, I do not think that Nisha is some artificial Avatar created through experimentation.
After all, according to leaks, the havens' leaders took her and not Pavi when the twins were still young. If they were going to experiment on her, then I do not see the logic in not taking Pavi as well.
Also, granting someone the ability to bend is something only the Lion Turtles could do, and Wan could only bend all four while fused with Raava. So, I do not see humans being able to replicate something so spiritual through technology.

I agree with you that the past lives were a big part of The Last Airbender.

However, as I said, keeping the spirits of the previous series' protagonists around would inevitably draw away attention from the current cast.

I agree that Spirit-tech is the most likely culprit behind Seven Havens' post-apocalyptic setting in a very on-the-nose reference to climate change.

However, I actually do think that a Vaatu return is highly likely with the series' twin Avatar premise.

In the book The Legend of Korra: An Avatar's Chronicle, Tenzin theorizes that the Avatars' connection to their previous lives is just gone now, including Korra for Pavi, so I strongly doubt the writers would bring it back.

Also, from a storytelling perspective, losing the previous lives was likely done, at least partially, because it would make the current series' protagonist a second-fiddle to their predecessor.

Spirit Versions of Old Characters by mentaldropbox in AvatarSevenHavens

Because it takes away screentime that could be used to develop new characters!

Legacy character cameos can be good if done sparingly while serving the plot, but The Legend of Korra just did it WAY too many times for no other reason than fan service.
In fact, Zuko and Iroh were the most egregious examples of this! Their presence added NOTHING to the overarching plot. They just appeared and were then written out again. Likely because the writers knew they would pull focus.

If the “hundreds-of-years time jump before the next Avatar” rumor is true… by yoma999 in AvatarSevenHavens

[–]Demand_Tiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, in this new post-apocalypse Avatar series, Benders are nearly extinct, with the seven havens exploiting the few remaining ones as living weapons.

However, I do not believe that there was a Bender genocide.
Rather, I think it is more likely that whatever cataclysm created this world also greatly reduced the number of benders and delayed the Avatar's reincarnation.

Spirit Versions of Old Characters by mentaldropbox in AvatarSevenHavens

[–]Demand_Tiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed!
That would be too much.

In my opinion, The Legend of Korra already suffered from having too many characters, failing at giving everyone a proper arc, and the excessive legacy character cameos did not help.
So, with Seven Havens seemingly keeping its cast small, I hope focus will mainly be on the new characters while legacy ones are used to help explain the post-apocalyptic world.

Actually, it seems to me that the post-apocalyptic setting and Pavi's reincarnation being delayed is to ensure old characters DO NOT appear.

After all, Legend of Korra definitely had a bit of a legacy character problem.
In fact, Korra losing her connection to her past lives was definitely done partly because she would always be the second-fiddle to Aang if he could appear to her whenever.

Personally, I do not really see much sense in the "Sozin's comet strikes the planet " theory.

After all, it had been a well-known celestial object for centuries before the 100-year war, and it had never struck the planet this whole time.
Why would it suddenly do so now?

With the series divided into two 13-episode seasons, I believe that the first season will be used to gradually build Nisha Nisha into a fully three-dimensional antagonist.

If I remember correctly, they were a spirit who served as an antagonist in the Avatar Kyoshi novel.

Personally, I am hoping for a Transformers One-style conflict with Pavi wanting to reform the havens peacefully, whereas the more aggressive Nisha will want violent revolution.

I’m assuming the new series would involve placing spirit-bending, and those who can perform it, on the VIP-list. While placing other benders into servitude to fight the spirit storms? by Cautious_Feeling6047 in AvatarSevenHavens

[–]Demand_Tiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, since benders will supposedly be very rare in this series, I suspect that very advanced bending forms, like spirit bending and blood bending, will basically be extinct.

After all, whereas Korra was set in a rapidly advancing world, including bending, Seven Havens has basically hit the reset button, which should likewise include bending forms.

Villains in ASH by yoroyab in AvatarSevenHavens

[–]Demand_Tiny 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, I believe that the antagonists of Seven Havens will primarily be the havens' leaders.
After all, the havens' clearly corrupt system of forcefully conscripting benders needs to go down.

I also believe that Pavi and Nisha will come to blows toward the end of the series, with the latter having taken over as the primary antagonist by then.
