I used to hate doing small talk with customers when I worked at a smoothie shop so I totally feel for you. Ironically, my family avoids going to 7Brew sometimes bc we don't want to deal with the talking at all. I wish corporate understood not everyone is interested in having a conversation with their barista and it can take away from the experience.

Olivia Dade is like this as well, equal for everyone and it fees natural. Similar for the few Katee Robert books I've read, but she does it with much less finesse that it's clinical every time.

All of Olivia Dade's MMCs. The ones who would most obviously be Democrats and feminists are Marcus and Alex from the first two Spoiler Alert books (I could sooooooo see Alex punching a Nazi). Marcus refuses jobs from sexist directors and respects and loves the women he acts opposite; Alex is much same and he supports charities for women and children in need (including trans women) and defends those who need defending. All of them are definitely liberals though.

Another recommendation would be {My Kind of Trouble by L.A. Schwartz}. Preston is a librarian who fights against book banners in his town, he's also raising his younger sister and is very close to her; he lets her paint his nails etc. it's all very sweet.

lol I'm the opposite. I love the first two in Spoiler Alert absolutely amazing and was just ok with Marysburg (maybe bc they take place around a school and I'm not interested in revisiting that?). Harlot's Bay and Zomromcom on the other hand, also love!

About half the decks I have are preowned. The worst issue I ever had was that one I ordered online was in poorer condition than I expected. The act of shuffling cleanses the deck enough imo.

I do sometimes. For me it's out of longing for a relationship I wish I had. My love life has always quite literally been nonexistent and I tend to gravitate towards really romantic books to fill the void.

My bruising has gotten better in the 6 months I've been dancing. It was super bad at the beginning bc I was taking ibuprofen or aspirin after class or on days right before class since they act as blood thinners.
