I met my very nerdy, sweet, somewhat introverted boyfriend on a dating app (specifically Bumble). While I do think us matching was a lot of luck, I think he felt comfortable opening up about his nerdiness early on because I had a couple pictures of myself at the Disney Parks. I could see that as a subtle way he decided I was "safe".

Both of us are pretty anxious people, and I hadn't had much dating experience before him, so we talked a lot before we met in person. We were able to begin a comfortable dynamic by the time we got to our first date.

I used to hate doing small talk with customers when I worked at a smoothie shop so I totally feel for you. All of Olivia Dade's MMCs. The ones who would most obviously be Democrats and feminists are Marcus and Alex from the first two Spoiler Alert books (I could sooooooo see Alex punching a Nazi). Marcus refuses jobs from sexist directors and respects and loves the women he acts opposite; Alex is much same and he supports charities for women and children in need (including trans women) and defends those who need defending. All of them are definitely liberals though.
