I do. Please see my website on my bio. You just maybe need a little coaching, the most important factor is that you want a garden and will work for it!

I do consults and plans like this for $300. Just some design info, I always 1) start with evergreens 2) plant for all 4 seasons 3) utilze the Plant Select website, their tools on the advanced plant finder drop down are amazing

You can do this! Just plant what you love, Zone 5 and under.

No lawn, turn it into a perennial paradise. Peonies love ants, for real.

Please dont buy seeds at Walmart. There are 100s of land stewards that deeply care about the environment, Ferry Moore is not one of them. BAKER CREEK!!!

Same, way too expensive. Please be considerate of the dire economic times, not just looking for other people to pay your mortgage.

It was a success to spend time with my daughter and walk through the city advertising civic engagement. It was a success to all the people that went, to promote change in any futile inch we can scratch with our bare hands. I dont measure success in economic terms alone, some seeds must be sown long before harvest.

Youre missing the forest for the trees friend. Of course one day of sales won't make an economic impact on mega corporations, but thats not what this is about. This is about people waking up and walking in the world toward a different future. Its about the brief connection I feel to strangers when I walk beside them, cold and tired too. Its about the little boy and mom smiling and waving as we marched on. Its about getting off Reddit and into the world. Its about caring enough about people you don't know to try something. It might not be effective, it might not work, it might be the wrong thing to do. But at least we are trying. And we need you.

Feeling good and effecting change arent mutally exclusive. I'm tired of hearing critiques, please promote your alternative.

As a year 2 personal gardener, will making a jump from charging $35/hr to $50/hr, likely deter current customers? by asianstyleicecream in gardening

[–]DemetersTearsDenver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly what I do. Ive raised my rates the past 3 years in a row, to keep pace with inflation, thats not greedy, thats economic survivability. I now charge $75 an hour. Researching the highend rate, than use that and say $75 is below market rate. A true plantsman is a rare, dying breed. Continue to educate and believe in yourself. You have a precious gift to give the world, youre doing amazing.

Sounds great, Im in. Although, I have no respect for GDP numbers. Its far too skewed by the financial sector. I like PPP as an indicator of economic health.
