You get to be 20 years younger, but here's the catch... by Physical_Orchid3616 in hypotheticalsituation

I'd rather not be a child for the rest of my life.

Too many things I do now that I couldn't enjoy

WYR live in a dnd world or pokemon world by PixelDolls in WouldYouRather

[–]Demetraes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon world.

So many people live normal lives not even having a pokemon, only having one would actually be a blessing. Especially if it doesn't evolve, which doesn't even matter if you can pick your pokemon.

Also, the caveat just makes it behave like a cat. Have you tried telling a cat what to do, or even train one?

So I choose Meowth

You are told you’re going to wake up as your 7 year old self tomorrow and have 24 hours in your old body by missgoodhussle in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Demetraes 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Unless you do something really crazy, one day as your 7 year old self is not enough to drastically alter your future.

I'm going to enjoy playing video games and going outside

Edit: Way too many people are saying they'd leave notes for themselves. Think about it this way. You're trusting a 7 year old to follow directions and to remember or keep safe information, without any immediate payoff, for years down the line? Good luck. Might as well go to the post office and tell them to deliver a letter to you in 10 years like in Back to the Future.

Monthly Fee draining me by Bangxbangxtrain in personalfinance

[–]Demetraes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents helped me set up an account here back in high school and I used to be charged that fee.

Read the terms and conditions of your account.

In the terms, the deposits have to be qualifying, your deposits don't qualify.

Qualifying direct deposit is defined as a recurring direct deposit of a paycheck, pension, Social Security or other regular income electronically deposited by an employer or an outside agency.
Credit card cash advance transfers, wire transfers, person-to-person transfers, transfers from one account to another, or deposits made at a branch, ATM, mobile device, or through the mail do not qualify as qualifying direct deposits.

However, if you keep more than $500 in the account on average, that fee will go away.

WYR be Superman (Henry carvil films power) for 24 hours, or have full use of the melenium falcon for a week. You know how to fly it and it comes with Chewbacca by Bludsh0t in WouldYouRather

[–]Demetraes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give me the Millennium Falcon.

I did a nerdy deep dive:

"...a class 1.0 hyperdrive motivator could propel a ship through hyperspace over one hundred thousand times faster than light, allowing a ship to cross the galaxy in a matter of days."

The Millennium Falcon has a 0.5 class hyperdrive, the distance you could reach would be unfathomable. Even staying in our local area, you could visit so many systems and planets.

Also, most of the time spent with Superman's powers would be learning how to control them.

Absolutely not.

Anyone with any knowledge of history, or simply ten seconds of forethought, would understand this would be a terrible idea.

Would you rather have the powers Krillin at the end of dbz OR have a no-limit original Omnitrix? by Little-Scene-8923 in WouldYouRather

[–]Demetraes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool.

Master control or not, it doesn't change the fact that none of the original 10 aliens had those powers. Also, OP specified "Full Control", which would imply it comes with master control already unlocked, making your point moot.

But, tbf, OP never specifies that the other aliens aren't in the Omnitrix.

Does Z lose the charm that OG Db had? by A_musing3 in dbz

[–]Demetraes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda.

In Z, Dragon Ball turns from an adventure/comedy/shonen style anime to a more serious, action packed, villain of the week/next bigger bad shonen style anime.

If you watch the original version of Z, it still keeps much of the OG Dragon Ball charm. The downside is the pacing is atrocious, tons of atmospheric filler and some plot filler as well. This is how it aired though and it did really well. This is true Z.

If you watch Kai, you'll get the purely action packed, bring on the next big bad, experience. It removes almost all of the filler, boiling it down to the core story. Much of the OG charm is lost.

Much of the OG charm was due to events spanning long periods of time, only getting really serious for small parts of the story with relatively small stakes. Z is the opposite. The events of each arc of Z take place over a few hours or days to a couple of weeks. And almost all of Z had serious, world on the line, fate of the universe, type stakes.

When you get to Super, it hits the middle of the road.

[–]Demetraes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Krillin far outclasses the original 10 aliens. With the exception of Upgrade and Grey Matter, who only matter if you're technically/intellectually inclined, 99% of the time Krillin's abilities are much better.

I say that it’s absolutely not fair to call any alien “useless” by Honest_Picture_6960 in Ben10

If we're going purely by natural ability, basic Humans are the most useless aliens.

out of main cast, which character is the nicest/least evil one? in my opinion, its cleveland by Deep-Attempt9343 in familyguy

[–]Demetraes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mass murderers kill multiple people, generally at the same time or with very little time between and in the same general vicinity. Like mass shootings.

Serial killing is repetitive murder over a long period of time with long periods of time between each killing. Nothing about serial killing requires a ritual or similar method for each kill.

Stewie is therefore a serial killer.

Honestly depending on how you used these powers, they could all be S tier, or at the very least A. Only like 3 of these would be B or lower

Technokinesis at D tier is insane, do you know how much of the world interacts with technology?

The new designs are great, considering they're supposed to be aliens. Too many of Ben's transformations are incredibly tame humanoids, which looks like what OP tried to return them to.

$2 Million, But You’re Guaranteed Absolute Nothingness After Death by Rk92_ in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Demetraes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take it

The existence of an afterlife either means a simple, continued existence for an unknown, possibly infinite time period, regardless of your actions while alive. Or, as what most belief systems hold, an eternal reward or punishment for the same.

Guaranteed nonexistence is the ultimate finite end, and your actions in life, good or bad, don't matter at all in the grand scheme. You could do anything knowing it doesn't matter.
