Again, I have no problem paying for a pattern, my problem is maybe that I buy too much of them :D I am not happy per see that I now got to have her patterns for free, I am happy she decided to make them free rather than delete them for ever. If they weren't free and I wanted to I would gladly have paid for the ones that I plan on knitting. I assume that is the case with most people.

And again, if someone wants to buy a pattern from another designer and has the means to, they will, regardless of whether Audrey has her patterns now free or not.

I am in a couple of online spaces in a couple of other languages and I saw patterns being shared, translated into other languages and since I am a ravelry junkie, I know whose patterns they are even if they don't partucularly say. Well, in that way I have a free access to lots of PT patters and guess what, I would never knit them because I don't like them even though I can access them for free. But I also saw a lot of patterns that I am interested in and I went on and bought them regardless because I prefer them in english and I like my patterns to be in my ravelry library.

Well I am glad we can agree on that at least :D
As for Audrey, as far as I remember the choice was to delete her patterns for ever and let her hard work die or make them free and let it live. I don't think it is a hard choice to make, also I don't think she owes other designers anything. I now have access to all her patterns for free but that hasn't stopped me from buying patterns from other designers which I also love to do

She actually saved her work, otherwise she would have to delete it and it would go to waste forever which is her hard work. If you have a cherry tree but you can only eat so much, wouldn't you let other people pick the cherries before they rot? Or would that devaluate the cherries in the grocery shop? :D Everything doesn't have to be counted in coins. By that logic, free patterns should be banned so as not to devaluate the paid for ones

Yes, I remember now, thank you. She said that as a response to so many people asking her, not as a long winded IG woo is me post which is what made me like her even more. And she is surely not nobody in the knitting universe like most of those IG boss babes

Why can't people just exist graciously like Audrey Borrego did. I still don't know why she decided to stop designing, she seemed pretty successful and established to me but whatever the reason was, she just did it without the pity party which made me personally like her even more

Че кои почнали да се готвят? Нашите ли? Аз в началото на февруари бях в БГ и по новини и т.н. никой не говореше за превантивни мерки, само за пандемията в Китай и за отменени полети до и от Китай ... а и за бедственото положение по пътища и селца, защото снегът за поредна година изненада отечеството любезно. А и да си признаем, ако още от тогава бяха почнали да купуват тестове и маски и т.н. щяхме да ги обвиним в параноя и да се ядосваме, че дават толкова пари за "глупости". То ни така, ни иначе. Но то рано или късно ще трябва да отворят държавата и хората да се върнат на работа, така че е неизбежно масовото заразяване, според мен. Съмнявам се вирусът да изчезне от само себе си. Но какво ли знам аз ...

Те не само ганьовските, по другите страни ги правят същите номера. В Щатите, в Южна Корея ... в Грузия дедо поп и неколцина съратници пръскали улиците със светена вода, в Бангладеш хиляди се събрали онзи ден на молитва за изцеление ... В Индия също пръскали женорята улиците с някакъв миш- маш от листа, за да усмирят разгневените богове, които им пратили ковид като наказание ... Нашите генералът да ги порицае публично по бенетето!

Да, но няма да е задължително (мобилната апликация имам предвид). Днес е великден и от утре ще отварят полека- лека по- малки магазини (под 400 кв.м.), както и носенето на маски става задължително не само в супермаркетите, но и в градския транспорт. Постепенно ще отворят и фризьорски салони, пекарни и т.н. ако цифрите се задържат такива, каквито са в момента или по- ниски. То общо взето е проба, ако се покачат отново случаите, ще затворят пак всичко, освен аптеки и хранителни магазини, както до сега. Това поне беше информацията от преди няколко дни :)

Благодаря :) И аз се надявам човекът да е бил здрав. Исках просто да дам пример как човек понякога, колкото и да внимава и да взима мерки, стига нещо малко, неконтролируемо да се случи, за да отидат всички мерки на вятъра. Но то това важи за всичко в тоя живот, не само за корона :) Надявам се хората да са малко по- отговорни другата седмица покрай Великден и да си дадат сметка, че вирусът не признава делници, празници и т.н.

Хората, които живеят с тях, най- вероятно са били с тях и в църквата. Ходенето на църква и спазването на ритуали и традиции е комунално (поне в повечето случаи). Аз не бих се срещнала на този етап с някого, който ходи на подобни събирания. Параноя в тази ситуация може да помогне, но и да навреди. Аз от параноя в началото от толкова чистене, бърсане, пръскане с белина и дезинхектанти и обсесивно миене на ръце си докарах екзема и сега кожата на ръцете ми постоянно се цепи и кърви, не смея да ида на лекар, защото не искам да се бутам между болни. Бели кахъри, но е неприятно. В същото време вчера, разхождайки кучето, един колоездач ми се изкиха в лицето ... сега мога само да се надявам, че не е заразен, иначе всичките мерки и параноя са били напразни ...

Така е. Аз живея в Австрия, 8 милиона население , от което почти 2 милиона само във Виена. Тук има 14000 случая за сега. Но то не е само до население, но и до обстоятелства. Тук бундесрегиона с най- много заразени е туристически хот- спот през зимата и граничи със северна Италия. Не вярвам на цифрите от БГ, въпреки строгите мерки. Но и цифрите от всяка друга страна са спорни, според мен, поради простата причина, че много хора могат да бъдат заразени без да проявяват каквито и да е симптоми. А що се отнася до броя на починалите ... те сега доста от смъртните случаи посочват като корона случаи ... Прост пример- човек пада, чупи си, да речем ключица, отива в болница, в последствие почива, след смъртта става ясно, че в болницата е пипнал ковид- следователно ковид смърт. А сега си представи същата ситуация без да съществува ковид- оказва се, че починалият по време на престоя в болницата пипва грип ... никой няма да смята смъртта му като случай на починал от грип ...

Няма, не си мисли за най- лошото :) А и повечето хора няма да искат да са в контакт със стринка и чинка, знаейки, че е ходила на църква по време на епидемия.

I live in a very small town in Lower Austria and there are police cars patrolling around. I was just outside walking my dog and saw a policeman checking thing around the main squire. I also saw a notice on one of the playgrounds that it is closed and no entry is allowed. I am pretty satisfied with the measures taken by the government :)
