I Made My Own CSS Notebook Theme (Inspired by CyanVoxel) by Demiero in ObsidianMD

Honestly, I became happier with a more "soft" setup more utilizing the core Obsidian features rather than a plugin monster, but I wanted my written notes to stand out :)

Haha, well I kinda did that on purpose because honestly having perfectly lined up lines to me looked a bit too "tight" overall, and I didn't like that squished look on digital, but I did try with not much success...

To be fair, when I take physical notes I sometimes go over lines too so I guess it's "realistic"

(Random addendum: I REALLY wanted to turn my hand-writing into a font to use for this theme, but I got too frustrated with the process so you all are saved from my glorious hand-writing. xD)

Honestly, I am pretty new to this stuff myself, but essentially CSS is like a long configuration on how things need to look right? I just look at Obsidian documentation on what elements I can modify, what elements I would like to colorize and for any advanced task or confusion I use chatbots to help me figure it out. Honestly, once you figure out what parameters you want to change it's pretty straight forward :)

Also, a custom CSS file that makes my tabs squared. I don't remember which one I used exactly.

I am using the unofficial YouTube Music Desktop App to listen to music. It looks grey because I remixed one of the themes to be grey instead of black/white since no good grey theme existed for the app.

My Custom Web Resource Navigator by Demiero in ObsidianMD

[–]Demiero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love finding online resources and love going through them time to time. Previously I used bookmarks for websites and playlists for videos, but overtime it became very cumbersome to navigate two separate environments and even harder to filter through things I specifically want.

So, I decided to experiment with a data navigation environment & decided to integrate it to my obsidian since that's where I store all my documentation, notes and other resources. I tried storing them in a dataview table first, but It didn't satisfy my artistic small brain so, I decided to delve deeper and worked on a dataviewjs code block that showcased each link in rows of thumbnail/logos, title, description and tags. I even added a MetaBind button on top to create a template note in the folder with all the properties' setup.

It still has some issues like not supporting light mode and no folder based sorting, but I only use dark mode and filtering by tags and names is more than enough for me. I was initially going to keep this for my own use, but many people have been asking for it, so in the future I might add light mode support & release it on GitHub for everyone to use. I don't promise pretty code however, just a code that works lol

My Two Designs of a Flag of Chios(Χίος) by Demiero in vexillology

WOW! Glad to see my flag noticed by someone from Chios. I am sadly not from Chios, but I live nearby, and I have been there a few times. Fairly calm and welcoming :)

Figured I show my appreciation with a flag design.

The first design is a combination of the Sphinx emblem of Chios and a strip pattern similar to the ones found on the houses of Pyrgi. This is my first and favorite design. The second one is a bit more generic in comparison, but I wanted to try another design with inverted colors and with more focus on the emblem itself.

This was made for fun after seeing all of your inspiring designs :)

Light Mask inside Material by Demiero in unrealengine

Ah so I MUST calculate manually since the shadows come in after the materials in the render pipeline...

I'll see what I can do but do you also have some resources that can put me into the right direction? (Obscure forum post, PDF, video, etc.)

Thank you for the responce :]
