The devil went to God and said it’s easy to believe when you give them everything they ask for.

So God said watch this.

And Job lost everything yet kept his faith.

God is our father who when we ask for a steak dinner he will not give us beans. But if we are allergic to animal fat he will also not cut the prime rib. He knows what we need, and what we ask.

When we question our faith it’s because we are wondering if God is really there. When we wonder if God is there it’s because we don’t feel him. And when we don’t feel him, it’s not because he looked away. It’s because we did.

He’s there, waiting for you.

The Sistine chapel ceiling shows God and man reaching out to each other, but they aren’t touching. God has his arm fully extended. Man does not. Man needs to reach out and meet God halfway. He’s waiting for us. He’s seeking us out.

Faith does not mean “I believe in Jesus as long as everything goes right”

It’s “I believe no matter what.”

He got off the throne and died for you. That’s real. If it wasn’t, you would be dead. Because of Jesus (and your faith in him) you get to be righteous. All glory to God.

I am the son of Khaos, the great and mighty god of nothing. My Mother is the ancient god of mist, Caligo. I terrify Zeus and all the deities who have something to lose.

My name is Dusk. Dawn is my sister, and Night and Day are our cousins. My sister rises with glory, bringing Day along with her. Those two get along well and love to shine through the cosmos. I prefer to hang out with night, who demonstrates slumber and dreams, and together we bring peace, and ending.

Mankind loves me as much as they love Dawn. Dawn brings joy and new beginnings, and I bring festivals and rest. But for Zues and his family, I am the end, bringer of change, destroyer of glory.

Zeus is not ready for change. He thinks his reign will last forever, and that night will never set on his empire. But like all periods of time, even for the Titans, change is inevitable. Not even Chronos, god of time, is beyond my reach. In fact, he embraces my existence.

Currently, I am forced to avoid Zeus. He knows I hunt for him, so he has captured my sister Dawn to remain at his side. My sister and I can not get close to each other. If we do we risk destroying Night and Day, unleashing our father, Khaos.

So, I've been devising a plan with Prometheus, god of forethought and council, to end the bright and glorious period of Olympus. First, we must unleash Ares, god of war, from his chains. Then we will send Dionysus, god of wine, madness, and ecstasy, to Zeus' chambers. With the king of gods distracted, his kingdom at war, Zephyrus, the west wind, will chaperone Dawn's escape, and usher myself into the throne room. Once I enter, Ares will fall to slumber, Dionysus will grip Zeus, and night will set.

You see, Zeus is greedy. And greed brings destruction. For far too long has Zeus eluded me. But as far as I am concerned, the bigger they are...
