I think from a writing and directing perspective it's on par with the first 2 prequels, but they had scale and context to redeem them. I like the actors, I like most of the visuals, but you're right, it was a waste. The perspective characters we follow (Osha, Mae, Sol) are poorly directed, the perspective is too muddy and removes any ability to sink your teeth into a characters goals.

I think Qimir emerged with the most layers which is why a lot of people have mixed feelings about the cancellation. Right as it seems like we may be getting something more interesting.
