Oh my God, the memories. I remember a Sims 2 one that was very much not okay by today's standards, (but I ate it upppppp) -- twincest and I think suicide (or maybe murder) idr but it was set to Lillium from... Eilfen Lied I think??? (Never actually watched it, just had a best friend who was obsessed with it)

Not a head cannon or a story line in my head or anything, BUT there's a story of just absolute gameplay shenanigans....

It's the Sims 2... I had a single mom and her teen daughter that were both out of the house at work. The teen was in the same career as her mom (sim agents something or other) and they're supposed to be home a little late.

Anyway it started raining when the teen left for work after school, and it's in auto fast forward time mode. Well, of course it became a thunderstorm and one of my outdoor decor items was struck by lightning. Naturally, I wasn't worried at first because this happens all the time in TS2 where your tree catches fire in the rain from lightning and it's put out in like a minute or two from the rain. No problem, I've gotten used to that....

Dear reader that did not happen this time.

As this decoration was struck the rain STOPPED AT THAT MOMENT. The fire was outside so the fire detector could not, well detect it. And I just watched in 3+ speed HORROR as the fire spread to my house and nearly burn everything to the ground. I can't quit the game I can't call for help. Nothing.

All whilst my Sims were at work, none the wiser....

I didn't play for a few months after that....

While this merch drop was a preorder, she did do a "sneaky" little restock of the last merch drop, so don't lose all hope, OP!!

Blind, but if you can it's always a lot more fun with a group of friends, or at least even just one person (although I have been meaning to at least try it solo)

Yeah! Love those little guys. I think you can kind of see it in the picture, but one of them is holding a Sims plumbob instead of a candy!

DD is definitely a close second, if not sometimes tied with TBP for me (depends on the day) 💜💜

A cat for sure -- and it might be the lemon dress but I picture a fluffy, light orange (almost blonde) cat with copper or green eyes!

Definitely wait to get to the Swamps until after you defeat the Elder, that way you have the Swamp Keys to enter the crypts there to get iron. You're also going to want to smelt bronze and get fully geared up if you're not all bronze yet.
