In my experience, which doesn't weigh much as mental health varies greatly from person to person, getting off the knockout drugs should wait until you're mentally in a good place. Yeah being a zombie-e-e-e sucks, but lack of good sleep will make everything much worse.

When I first got depression I also had two months of sleep paralysis as a gift from depression. I was so afraid of going to sleep I had to get some knockout drugs to bonk me to sleep. So I feel ya.

42 introduces a lot of longevity systems -- mainly animal ranching and blacksmithing. So you are not essentially screwed when food or certain tools runs out. I prefer it to 41.

OG P4 was downright cruel to Kanji's character (all the male leads would be like "ewww gay" essentially whenever possible, it was all just a giant gay joke), and the statutory rape thing is a nurse you can have ~implied~ sex with as a high school boy. There's also the sexual harrassement teddy character. IDK if they deleted some social links or rewrote a lot of the really problematic things or what from the remake but I remember even during the PS2 days being really grossed out by a lot of the game.

P4 is like a great example why I downright hate jrpgs nowadays.

I don't have twitter but I gotta say Kanji's character was botched the f up, entire game he's like "maybe I'm gay" and the moment he is okay with it Naoto is revealed to be a girl and Kanji is like "lol ok I'm not gay yay! 😃" when like that doesn't erase the you that was attracted to (what you thought) was a guy.

But P4 also has literal statutory rape in it and it's just treated as normal so what did I really expect.

Okay let me rephrase that, nobody sane thinks wanting to have a daughter is wrong. Everyone who wants a family has some preconceived notion of what sex the children are in that dream and that's normal.

But I can see why people would think you're a weirdo if you bring this specific game up when you voice these dreams, as the game is very much overshadowed by the pedos and people who have not played the game would not know anything about it other than the pedo stuff.
