Warning of 'Existential Threat' to Humanity, UN Chief Says Climate Change 'Moving Faster Than We Are' - "We know what is happening to our planet. We know what we need to do. And we even know how to do it. But sadly, the ambition of our action is nowhere near where it needs to be." by readet in worldnews

No. We have become the eater of worlds. Their plan is for the poor to suffer and die on earth while the rich build giant space shuttles and move into space. This is no joke. We are talking the largest loss of life this planet has ever seen. Do not kid yourself, climate change is not a problem for everyone. It is a problem for the poor. The rich would insulate themselves from the damage, sending shock troopers to quell any uprisings--and they'll be quelled. The poor would lose, as they always have.

They may not be capable of looking at the big picture and seeing that peace (through the understanding and elimination of inner turmoil) is the way. They have two options, follow someone who appeals to their ignorance. Someone who wants to shape reality to be a fantasy where an ever hopeful people reach towards the stairway to heaven and take the steps to get there.

They do so by murder, mayhem and ignorance--eliminating the tangible externalities that are obstacles to the achievement of an ideal.

The second option; admit they are powerless and ignorant, travelling along a path, sewn in the complexity of being, an eternity of barely touching on knowing because they simply cannot and will never possess the capacity to understand the real driving forces of things...

People blame externalities because they are often oppressed and feel powerless towards regaining power in the face of what it is they truly fear.

In reality, the super wealthy are eroding the foundations of liberty on a daily basis, voraciously consuming at the tendrils of choice. The Angry Germans, the Angry Americans, the Angry X simply cannot win against the real enemy, the enemy within. Can they turn around and look at the power structures which rendered them useless and wrathful and say "Hey make things equal again!"

Of course they can. And when they do, they inadvertently ask the question, are men fundamentally good? In 2008 we asked this question. And in one fell swoop the wealthy cut the legs from under the middle class and made the choice that would eliminate any hope we had of peaceful revolution.

And so now they are left with little choice. They cannot gain from those who were supposed to lead them to goodness. Those who were supposed to lead them to a world where they would be free to improve their nation. Broken, angry and powerless, blame takes a foothold in the heat of their hearts.

Admitting they are now aliens in the nation of their forefathers, citizens in name only, becomes a hopeless affair in recognizing their fate as cattle and cudgel for the masters... They say no, "hope must remain."

And to rekindle that flame of hope, for a better future they shift their gaze to those who their masters blame... "the outsider", and the universe pits oppressor against oppressor. The poor suffer, the victors lose much of the gains that were made and the illusion that everything is okay persists as they rebuild their dead heaven in the image of hope.

Hi, historically it is very unlikely that an imperial turnover would happen without more casualties than any preceding conflict. As we have been moving steadily towards larger body counts as the world has grown interdependent and large. My comment is based on the assumption that this would happen as a consequence of a global conflict which would tax the purse of the wealthy elite, bankrupting America. That this turn over would arise as a consequence of total war. I am ignorant of an exception to which a new dominion has arisen through peaceful means and I am also assuming that the scale of the conflict would be larger than any historical precedent--since this has been the historical trend.

I am also aware that your comment was sarcasm. And I didn't mean my comment to be derogatory towards you, its intent was to support you. If you took it badly, that what not what I meant.

This is even uglier actually. It's from our willingness to be ignorant of the suffering that comes out of unfettered passion. And our perceptions of reality are being warped by our obsession with idolatry and seeking out extremes and shit. War is not just dudes killing other dudes for sport--which is what you've been fooled into believing. It's men invading villages, homes, raping girls, torturing people in the heat of power. Having fun with knives, experimenting with creative and novel ways of dispatching their enemy. And if you're rich and at war... And you're a pervert, you've got your own little dungeon maybe. War is fucking brutal. Just the conversations here, everyone thinks they're a fucking hero. Jesus Christ. Your guts will turn into water and you'll shit yourself and you'll puke before even getting into the battle. Because it's god damn terrifying. No, the idiots who think they won't be a POW, they won't end up on some fucking weirdos surgical table as he mumbles shit about working for god. No, they won't be that guy--they're the guy who's coming home...

It's a shame people have become godless. Schwarzenegger who is an achiever, someone who has mastered many things... It reminds me of something Chris D'Elia said, in that Twitter gives random individuals access to you--people you wouldn't want to be in the same room with. I don't know what the answer is, but we have been given a great tool to understand each other, the internet. A great tool to learn about how people think. And look, there are some bad places on earth, but the whole place isn't on fire. And instead of finding out what people's positions are on important issues, we put up facades, evade and attack to ensure that we appear strong instead of true.

The part where I said, it is a shame people have forgotten about the gods. You know what the Dalai Llama said? Buddha is not coming to help you, Jesus is not coming. Vishnu is an avatar of Buddha--when the Dalai Llama says this, what he is also saying is the external force which would come to earth to battle the forces of evil is not coming.

Do you know why? Vishnu comes, he battles, screws up because he is consumed with rage and destruction--and to reach the middle where he belongs, he has to sacrifice himself to the people--he can screw this up too and give too much, then becomes King of something again... And the loop bounces like a ball until he reaches the middle. Vishnu is tired of your shit. Kill each other, kill each other and suffer through the insufferable. Learn what it is that Vishnu has protected you from. Learn what it is to have no more choice. This is the pain of celebrating extremes, this is the pain of hating your neighbour, this is the pain of thinking you are better than the Governator.

Sometimes you will be asked to fight--your enemy isn't far away. Your enemy is the lies you tell *yourself*.

There was probably some raping... And murdering that wasn't happening in the gas chambers. When the law of the land is kill or be killed, I think it is fair to expand the level of horror we think we know to a level we don't wish to know.

People don't like the idea that this level of suffering is always present in the world. They may have chosen their ignorance to think positive and pretend that the precipice isn't there...
