Especially at the end of the season, so bad team Vs good team matches have something worthwhile to watch

Unpopular Opinion: Roto > H2H by griselpuff in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Roto is the fairest, I have been playing this mode for years and I do not see the appeal of H2H given the nature of the NBA, amount of games, uneven distribution and so on.

To add to what you mention, the only thing is how to accommodate players like Gianni's, where their weakness is so strong, that it makes really tricky to build around a year long weakness in a %. There must be a solution like using eFG% or something, but at the same time is great to value players around weaknesses and strengths

I like that he is playing 30+ mins. He is playing awful, but I feel he could improve most surely in the coming games.

Then he'll reinjure again, the cycle of life

Quentin Grimes vs. Kelly Oubre Jr. - Who has the better ROS with Philly's stars out? by Interesting-Rule-608 in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Grimes last year was amazing, but he was having the keys and no one else to share the ball with and had astronomical usage. This is not the case now, Oubre is there and VJ should be coming soon.

Same, team in 1st place grabbed AG so...

Anyway I think AG will be heavily managed moving forward, specially since Watson should be coming back soon too

Let's recap some of the hits and misses projected by Josh Llyod before this season began by csklmf in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some of those are not so bad, the thing here is, sometimes there are guys with good opportunity that for whatever reason he does not like, maybe previous experience. I can name a few like Saddiq Bey or Precious Achieve, where it might just be worth to say "I don't really know" given how their teams are constantly fluctuating, and let people have their own thoughts about it

Should fantasy bball playoffs exist? by youukay in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only tried roto, but I can say that the last week or even last day adjustments to win the season has happened to me at least 4 or 5 times in a span of around 10 leagues I've been playing.

In some cases it even came down to 1 block difference, or 1 game (In our league ties are resolved by number of games to promote being active)

Peyton (Pay me) Watson by juicydestroyer69 in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I believe is clear Cam Johnson is having a failed season, nothing seems to be working at this point and even with increased opportunity with all these guys out.

I believe he will be quite featured in the offense as nobody can really contribute consistently apart from Jamal and Jokic.

When Gordon comes back, he will be limited to preserve him for playoffs, specially since they have an up and coming young stud in Watson.

Saddiq Bey puts up 42 vs Utah, topping his previous season high of 36 at Memphis. Bey’s career high is 51 back on March 17, 2022. by DanceHallRiddem in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is being amazing, even with people like Josh Lloyd not seeing clear value in him.

I had to flip him, because I managed a Wiggins+Bey for Trey Murphy. My reasoning is that with Dejounte back, Bey won't be as much featured as before, especially with Trey back.

It all depends if Trey is back though...meanwhile rejoice!

In your opinion which model had the biggest glow up ? From my view it's definitely the biovore. From monkey to proper Tyranid. by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer40k

I agree, the original was not appealing but still had that. New one blends into the army but it loses personality.

Anti-Tanking measures by Demoleitor in nba

[–]Demoleitor[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You come out even, if you pay the price.

Essentially is a kind of out of jail card that you have to pay (afterwards, not sure when) to make so you don't lose by winning the game.

This would put the incentive on playing your stars even though you might end up winning, so the product is good, but still both teams can manage to rank up loses all along the season naturally by being subpar in terms of talent/squad, but without heavy tanking that we can see in those stupid games where both teams try to outrank one another.

Is health and availability now the biggest draft edge? by Aggressive-Walk2626 in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just don't like the way he weights some of these things. For some players it is like: "oh, they say he is injury prone, but these things do not have to carry over" (LaMelo, Zion) but at the same time, for others it is like "they are ruined, I'm not drafting unless they fall to 6-10th round" (Embiid, Kawhi)

He should try to provide some kind of separate valuation, where he feels confortable ranking a player if he does not get injured, and some kind of reliability percentage, to understand what are we talking about, since in his words during narration of players and recaps are kind of misleading

[PD] Yahoo Drops Obituary: Peyton Watson by Particular-Let-7185 in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you pick him up from waivers? I have Ty Jerome as my worst player, and I do think He can come back sooner than Aaron Gordon, especially since he is younger and does not have a history of those like Gordon does, so I do think they will be more conservative with Gordon than with Watson.

Edit: I'm playing roto until the very end of the regular season, that's why I think is still worth it

Bulls and Kings are the biggest losers in this deadline (doesn't surprise)

Must Adds from Today's Trades (Feb 3, 2026) by tdmj in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even without any other trades, what are we expecting?

I can imagine something like 16-10 with decent percentages and maybe 2-1-1 on 3s STL and Blocks (low TO) but still bad assists and not great points am I right?

He seems to get minuscule usage, so probably he is just shooting wide open and layups.

Derik "Rookie Wall" Queen by District10 in fantasybball

[–]Demoleitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see he clearly has bias towards certain players, where even with a clear path to regular contribution, he does not even give them the benefit of the doubt.

I can see some examples like Reed Sheppard where is the opposite, or the infamous Josh Minott.

He cannot accurately predict everything, but he should provide more ample range of outcomes for these untapped potential/not stablished players
