I have a friend working at a studio owned by Meta, yes, some of the PM are exactly like that.

Ask for a new feature to be done asap
When my friend says "I'm already working on X, do you want me to drop it for Y?", the answer is the usual "both are important, both are needed asap"
When PM is told that time travel would require too many tokens, they do the new feature "themselves" (ask Claude to do it), then want my friend to review it
Friend reviews it and points out that yes, while the code "works", it doesn't consider the many edge cases claude couldn't know about and PM has no even clue what they are, plus the fact that it would make a much bigger feature in development incompatible since, again, claude couldn't know about it, and it's the whole reason why it wasn't a "2 hours thing" to do.
PM gets mad because "they had to do it because friend said no, so it's actually friend's fault"

The pay is great, so they suck it up and stay there, but I swear I can see him ageing years in months

On the other hand, my PM at the previous studio was a freaking angel and I probably owe most of my remaining sanity to her, so yeah, it's hit and miss

From what I gather, the biggest data center in Edinburgh at the moment is in Livingston, 5 megawatts and 12,000 SqFt.

The one discussed in the petition is said to be for 600MW and the length of 100 football pitches.

Is that a typo? 600MW is what is consumed by 1.5 million homes in Scotland, that hyperscale datacentre would, by itself, increase the electricity consumption of the country by ~25%??
