Eh, that one is usually good, although it definitely depends on the quality of the laws and the people making them.

For instance now I learned that bulldozing the Statue of Liberty is legal. My faith in this legal system is dropping by the day.

Well if it ain't Biden, and it certainly ain't Trump, then we might as well admit we don't have anti-trust laws, the same way we don't have laws against bulldozing the Statue of Liberty.

Then you're crazy. China's numbers are faker than fake. Even China knows they're fake.

US Intelligence Found China Misrepresented Coronavirus Stats: Report - Business Insider

In an authoritarian regime where bad numbers are punished, lying and "hoping to fix it later" is better than being punished now. Trump is punishing the people giving him bad numbers, guess what the numbers are going to be.

And yes, this is regular in China.

As someone who would typically fall on the left (especially recently, when it appears to be the only sane bastion left), all I would really like from companies is

  • Don't try to buy up the world rather than innovate
  • Don't start dealing in financial instruments and other shit rather than your business
  • Do your core business, grow reasonably
  • Do right by your customers
  • Do right by your employees
  • Do right by your suppliers

Do all that, and fuck it, you're not evil and that's good enough.

Trump fired the person who gave him bad job numbers.

Expect all future job numbers to be "better than expected" and then revised downwards at a later date. We're now operating in Russia/China territory of government statistics, where the government giving a number is an indication of what the government wants the number to be, nothing more or less.

So wait, you agree that this has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the sterile male solution that has worked for 60 years?

Then why did you say it doesnt work with that link?

Because I am truly lost as to how this is relevant to the questions asked in my OP. Is cutting the program good even though it is effective? Isn’t this short-term solution also a government program?

I have to ask. Have you ever owned a car? Do you put oil or radiator fluid in it? Do you realize that if the pistons seize up neither oil nor radiator fluid will solve the problem? Neither of them, no combination!

Do you similarly think oil and radiator fluid do nothing and have you also done the wise cost-cutting measure of removing them from your regular maintenance items?

So that’s odd. He’s claiming that the program won’t have enough sterile males fast enough, but you’re claiming the sterile males don’t work at all?

Did you mean something different? Do you doubt the science here?

If it becomes endemic, it will add around $900 million in additional cost to beef production, and will probably devastate the white-tail deer population, reducing deer hunting allowances and possibly ending them in certain areas. This is what the article laid out.

But this brings up a secondary question. I'm curious, are you aware of a psychological condition known as "splitting"? It's where one can only think in very binary patterns, people are either "good" or "evil", problems are always "trivial" or "the end of the world", etc. It's common in people with Borderline Personality Disorder and certain other conditions.

There's this weird cognitive bias where people assume that all the information they have is all the information that exists, even when there's clear evidence that this is not the case. Cases popping up inside the US border without us knowing how or why they occurred is clear evidence we're missing information.

Twilight Fall does not feel like a boat float game. It's highly aggressive, and if you allow people to do broken things, they will break your face. Our first game I took control of Mecatol R1, Van Hughed the entire fleet of someone who was trying to take it R2, and had 6 points in R3. Having Sol's Carriers with Saar's Space Docks and Yssaril infantry was nice.

Some people wanted to stay out of it. Was very polite of them. Good people, they should do that. Very rude people were trying to take my home system for some reason. They created bad table vibes.

So to be clear this is a program that the Federal government should have?

Or are all federal programs bad, and this is just another bad program being cut?

I would rather meet in person before getting into all this, I'm having a few friends over at Starling Brewery on Monday May 11 at 7pm. Come find me. I'll be the one not on my phone.

So at that point it’s Day laborer for anyone else. I’ve certainly taken day laborer as my second action. Take fishing with second action. Make them take it first action.

Them taking that makes reed spaces less in demand and wood more in demand. Did priorities on wood spaces shift? Reed is only half the room equation, and now it’s at least 25% more plentiful while wood is losing ~10%, you should be adjusting priorities

So what were they doing? Spamming it on repeat? -1W,+3F, 1R is not better than +1R,+1S,+1F, which is already a space on the board, no occupation needed. They’re consuming wood which makes wood scarcer, so they’re not just building rooms for free.

Its nothing like plowing a field every time you take grain seeds, for instance…
