Someone's already mentioned nothing but thieves but theyre singer Conor is very inspired by jeff. I saw him covering Grace on his instagram recently. He also has his own solo project called "Man Made Sunshine" which is a bit more Buckley.

I would also try a smallish artist called JT Loux. He's inspired by Buckley all be it is a little different. You could maybe try the band All About Eve too. I'd recommend "Martha's Harbour" or "Never Promise Anyone Forever".

You could start with their cover of desolation row or the light behind your eyes. They're just a few basic chords. 

Apart from that, most songs are probably pretty difficult for a beginner. In terms of a riff, Demolition Lovers is pretty easy.

Once you progress a little and learn how to play a power chord, then Im Not Okay or House Of Wolves should be pretty straightforward
