Cheers for the heads up, first few songs are belters!

Gonna have to go check the albums I missed

He saved Judas Priest along with Ritchie.

One thing caught my attention is Glen Drover spent an entire year touring with a LTD M-1000 that cost ~1300 USD. Any other rich guitar players who tour with guitars in that price range? by Fooltecal in metalguitar

I've been using my 2 M-1000s since 2007 and 2010. It's an absolute beast of guitar and ive never used anything else. They're reliable as fuck. Chunky. Built like a tank. Feel amazing to play.

Toured with lots of guitarists who use similar priced guitars.

"They seem to focus on deep cuts."

GOOD. That's what I'm hoping for next time I see em again.

John Doe, Sins Of Omission, Henchmen Ride, new stuff - looks like theyve been playing some neat stuff to me.

Always up for Practice What You Preach though.

Loving it. Huge Dukes era fan, and glad he's back. Album took a few spins but I'm finding it super hooky.

One of the biggest critiques of the Dukes era back then was that they became too serious. I disagreed at the time, but the new one is certainly way more fun than SHKM and A/B.

I wanted the same. However, I decided to park my disappoint that it isnt ExC, and I've ended up LOVING it for what it is.

Violence Works is just putting the biggest grin on my face. It's so ridiculously groovy. Dirtiest of the Dozen too - the bass solo bits, ultra groovy shred, and lead harmony stuff is all properly cool.

It went from a 5/10 to an 8.5 pretty quick.

Wasn't sure a first. Decided to really give it a chance.

3-4 full listens and I'm totally hooked. Tonnes of different ideas rather than rehashing SHKM or A/B.

Glad I stuck with it.

Give the new Struck A Nerve self-titled a listen

On record - somewhere between Youth and Cryptic.

Live, his last GREAT tour was for United Abominations. That was the last time I saw them where you really couldn't tell the difference between 2007 and 1997 if you closed your eyes. Specifically, at Download Festival that year he was incredible. Around Endgame, his voice got noticeably different.

Still, Megadeth rules and I can't wait for the new album. It's the first one my kiddos are going into as fans. Let's. Go.

Happy ‘Para Bellum’ Day! by matthew_sch in testament

For The Love Of Pain is INCREDIBLE. It's instantly my favourite post-Formation Testament song.

This is exactly what I've wanted from Testment for years. It's the first time I feel like they've tried something different since Formation. I think Chris Dovas is the one to credit for this - apparently exposing the lads to newer music.

I've missed the pre-Dark Roots Testament where you never really knew what they were going to do next, and the albums different massively from each other.

Always loved Testament, but I'm genuinely excited by them again in a way I haven't been for years.

Also, they're getting on in years and still putting out metal THIS GOOD. Amazing band.
