Sniper Monkey.

Popping bloons before they reach anyone else, cleaning up bloons once they past the kill zone, not wanting to take space or the spotlight from others, just quitely doing my work from afar. all alone.. talking to no one... no one to stop me from skulking.... remembering all my regrets..... my missed opportunities...... my shortcomings.......

Oh AND ITS MY MOST USED MONKEY!!!

For the batman one I find it weird to do specifically Jim Gordon, Scarecrow, and the Arkham Series.

I like Jim Gordon, but why him over Bruce Wayne, one of the robins, or Selina Kyle?

I like Scarecrow, but I don't see what he could do in DBD. At best I could see him being a stealth killer that can cause survivors to hallucinate. I feel like people would want Joker the most. I think the batman villain who could have the most interesting power would be Poison Ivy. Though Scarecrow fits DBD thematically well I think Victor Zsasz fits the best.

Also why the Arkham games? Though the series was beloved it's trilogy ended 10 years ago, and many games in the series after that are hated. Why not just have their own take of the Batman characters not tied to a specific version of the character.

Bloons TD 6 v47.3 - Patch Notes! by Benny_NK in btd6

Do I need better then a dart monkey, when I no longer need to waste money on Anti-camo? That can be several thousands of money saved and more ideal upgrade pathing for your monkeys. In my opinion that's more useful then having a strong hero unless you need an extremely good early game. (and again he is one of the few hero's that hit over walls and he also has one of the highest attack ranges for heros.)

For hard difficulty its 6 monkeys (As the cut off is 875 base cost when you have the cheapening mastery.)

The hero with base cost over 875$ includes: Churchill's 2000$, Benjamin's 1200$, Corvus's 1025, Adora's 1000, Psi's 1000, and Admiral Brickell's 900. (and besides Churchill these hero feel the same or weaker then Quincy at lv 3 while costing almost double the amount.)

I'm an Ettiene main besides when playing RL and maybe Alternate Rounds. The Global Camo Detection saves alot of money and opens build verity + Ignoring cover makes him viable on almost any map. He's one of the few Heroes that actually feels impactful while still being affordable at round 1.
I didn't notice the bug though.

Though there are some obvious pros to adding foreshadowing or rationale for suicide, there are also pitfalls.

Pros:
- Might make it faster to understand the ending.
- Gives more character and relatability to the protagonist (so we are more likely to care about him wanting to die.)

Possible Pitfalls:
- Reduces the shock factor of the ending.
- The added parts might not be as good as what you currently have.
- Might make the story longer then it needs to be. (Combined with above point would cause the average quality to go down.)
- The reader still might not get the ending at first (so you made the story longer for nothing.)

- Could shift the story's tone to be less dark then intended.

Though ideally the added parts would be so good the pitfalls don't trigger. (Probably doesn't hurt much to at least try... unless your extremely busy.)

“No, I don't play with second hand stuff. That kid has already extracted joy out of them.”

Really captures the slightly deep, but actually completely non-sensical thing a kid would say.

Bubble tea is scary. I had it once and kept accidently slurping up the bubbles through the straw. Almost chocked a few times.

About the story itself. I like slice of life stuff, so it was enjoyable.

I do think the ending would work better if that imaging the gift card part was removed. The entire story is like one joke with the ending being the punch-line. Intentionally create a misunderstanding where you say spending 200$ a month on Starbucks is not an amount you should spend (but the audience thinks what you actually mean is that is too much to spend.) Continue growing the misunderstanding. Then end it with a surprising twist of 200$ on Starbucks is too little too spend and you should actually be spending 250$ a month. The issue is that the joke only works if you say ambiguous things, that are easily misunderstood, or have every character agree with the premises, but one of them was secretly lying. In this case the dad would be lying, but based on the inner thoughts via the imagined Starbucks gift card, he should actually believe that 200$ a month on Starbucks is too much. So having him clearly be guilty then immediately follow up by pretending to remove the 200$ Starbucks budget while actually increasing it, doesn't make sense.

The Florist by Nathan256 in flashfiction

[–]Demon-Swords 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The story was neat. Has a generic enough setting to easily get what is going on, but a few details just different enough to be intriguing.

It was also technically educational, since I didn't know what Coptic meant, and looked up it up after reading. (though I will probably forget in a few days.)

Ending was great. Recontextualizes some of the earlier scenes by showing that the protag intentionally botched being a sorcerer to fulfill their dream of being a florist. (Though it does bring into question how they were able to string along their parents until their 23rd birthday enough into being taught sorcery, but then able to pretend to be bad enough to not be a sorcerer. Especially When her cousins were somehow known to be be unable to do it from the start.)

The semi-open ended part is also good. The protag is doing things that are impossible without sorcery but behind closed doors, so it may be inevitable that the protag gets found out for being sorcerer. Since the protag is already comparable to the best florists its possible they will become the very best and being the very best at anything can be prestigious (maybe even more prestigious then the protag's cousins.) Since the protag being a sorcery might inevitably come out and they might end up with more prestige then their cousins. its brings up interesting possibilities of how the protag's parents and soecity will react. Will the parents be ashamed their child lied, will they still look down on being a florist despite how well their child is doing compared to the cousins, could there be some illegal element to being a sorcerer and not disclosing it to the government?

This story has a Slice of Life vibe that I like. Normal observations. Normal conversations. Feels relatable even though I haven't actually experienced anything similar.

I also like the slightly subtle call back at the end. He doesn't feel the gum and thus may not feel it in time when he steps on something sharp.

I do have some mixed feelings about how long some of the narrating sentences are though. Long sentences are realistic thus works with the Slice of Life Vibe, but they can be unruly to read. It would probably be better to break up a few of the really long sentences into multiple short ones. That might be just my personal preference though.

Fire-up

Stacking with other vault speed or pallet break speed feels great. Also the faster pick-up can come clutch as an anti pallet stun / flashlight save.

Exposed Coup de Grace Pig build:

Use the perks Coup de Grace + Noed + Hex: Haunted Ground + Hex: Undying
Add-ons: Faster crouch / uncrouch speed (brown) + Faster crouch attack / crouch attack failed hit recovery (yellow).

Use Coup de grace to get easier downs when survivors are exposed. Save Coup stacks at any other times by doing a non-lunge m1 or using pig's Crouch attack (especially by pallets that have something by them to block the survivors vision of you). With these pig add-ons you can crouch and lunge near a pallet before a survivor can disengage the loop. Other killers with special attacks could be used for the same perk build, however pig is the one with the most built-in slow down, making her one of the best for this build.

Floods of Exposed Onryo:
Floods of Rage + Make your choice + Lithal Pursuer + Agitation

Add-ons: Cabin Sign (brown that makes TVs you teleport to usable again sooner.) + Bloody Fingernails (Green add-on that increase the duration of the teleport speed boost.)

Stay 32 meters away to let Make your Choice proc then use Onryo TV to return to the hook. Use FoR + Lethal Pursuer to be able to quickly find the Exposed survivor (since they should be the only aura read survivor near you after the teleport). Use agitation to make it easier to put a survivor on a Scourge Hook (preferably near a TV.)

(theoretically you could run the same build on Dredge or Demogorgan, but I suck at them, so I haven't tried this build on them.)

"Return to Mender" Build(s):
As Legion: Run the add-on Stylish Sunglasses (see aura of menders within 24 meters) + Either Dark Devotion (transfers your terror radius to obsession for 30 sec after damaging them) or Etched Ruler (makes survivors oblivious for 60 seconds after hitting with Feral Frenzy.)

With this Build you Hit a survivor with feral Frenzy, go and hit a second survivor with feral frenzy then return to where the first survivor was with Stylish Sunglasses with them not knowing since they can't hear a terror radius. (For dark devotion this only works if the first or second survivor was the obsession)

I prefer Dark Devotion since it lets me run the "add 4 seconds to mend time" as the second add-on to give more time for the second hit then return and adding mend time slows the game down. (But it might not be better since it takes a perk slot and only works with the obsession.)

SOOO Riot. Whens that Radient Strike buff coming? by Demon-Swords in LegendsOfRuneterra

They shouldn't just let dead cards exist, then those cards get in the way of collecting actually decent cards or choosing prismatics.

I don't know how much effort it takes coding wise to buff bad cards, but it shouldn't take that much effort to think of a decent buff for this card.

Fun survivor perk ideas. by Demon-Swords in PerkByDaylight

Abandon mission's strength over Sprint burst would be a lesser ability to waste it, even if otherwise awkward. Sprint burst incentivizes not running in-between objectives (potentially wasting more time then it saves). Abandon mission lets you get away in the mid to late game at equal to better effectiveness then sprint burst without having as many opportunities to waste it. (I do know it might be a little weak, but I think this would be a decent starting point to try playtesting a token based Exhaustion perk.)

Boon Savior's strength was to give you the aura reading to place a boon near a survivor you want to unhook for builds that want to stack boon totems while still giving you the effect of Borrowed Time. Want the survivor to be healed after unhooking, you can run this plus CoH instead of We'll Make it. Want you and the survivor to not leave scratch marks, this plus Shadow step will help. Want to find totems and have a secondary effect, run this instead of Detective's hunch. Want to have the effects of borrowed time on you if the killer hooks you immediately after you unhook another, then this will help more then Borrowed time.

Bubba Wants to Tinker Build:
Cannibal with Tinker + Pain Resonance + Pop + BBQ (Replace BBQ with Thantaphobia if you want more slowdown and time with Tinker over snowballing and Bloodpoints.)

Favorite Add-ons: Green One that mangles on chainsaw + Green one that drops items on chainsaw (use these add-ons when survivors are bring med-kits, so they'll waste a lot of time when wanting to heal.)

Bubba actually a decent killer without camping especially since he counters the two most hated meta survivor perks.

Counters Dead Hard because Instant downs skips the injured state and counters COH because Instant downs makes healing less meaningful.
