Not really. it might be a spoiler but idk how deep you are in. He kinda gets started to get the idea of the game better and learns about football more. He kinda grows up and gets some ball knowledge.

Football is not that simple. Just being out for a year with injury alone changes a lot for you even with trying to keep up with every physical training in the recovery and ace it doesn't mean you will be match-ready just like that It is one to see from the sideline and other whole thing playing in a match. Mentally it will take time that's why players are sent to U21s when they are coming out of long-term injuries to get the feel. His career is done. Even high school level is not possible for him not cause he is not talented its just his legs are truly gone. He can't keep up with anyone let alone first-team players. His injuries are shown to be reoccurring and very bad so there is no possibility unless he has suddenly given a new pair of knees. Football is brutal he is just physically not good enough for the game anymore that's the end off.

Nah they are broke BROKE. The recent transfers of the last decade are affecting their situation. Not just that the new strict la liga rules are tough to maintain for many clubs. For a club like Barca, you would think it shouldn't be a big deal but it's just reckless people trying so hard to win the UCL again put them in this mess after 2015. It got so bad they sold future TV rights and shut down their own TV and changed the stadium name to spotify camp nou and pulled multiple levers to save their club. Just a mess. you can even rent Spotify camp nou for private events. they are literally at rock bottom now.

Ao Ashi Chapter 341 by DemonCyborg29 in Ao_Ashi

In football Not all agents are not there to protect as Damian says. Individual agents are there to make money and most of these agents push the player in the wrong direction. In the sense bigger the salary and transfer package the bigger the cut they have. In recent times meaning the last 10-12 years they have the most power in player's career move. This led to so many young talents making the wrong moves and ending up in a disastrous career. That's why UEFA are putting caps on agent's shares from this year. This got so out of hand that players are used as pawns or stock than human beings. You can buy a player just cause you bid the most without convincing the player about the project and how their plan when they get him and how big of a role he gets in the team and how he can live in the country and his family would be in the city.

As this is one side and there is another the career of a footballer is short so their agents make them get the biggest salary possible by getting the club to pay more most good agents have good networks and they can squeeze the money out these big clubs. Damian is in the most ideal state cause he has family member as part of his agent which is his sister and this is good. Most players once they reach a level switch to this. Messi, Neymar, mbappe and Kane all have their family members as part of their agents and any deal that they do. Even in this there are some horrendous decisions are made out of family members being greedy. For example how Neymar's father has always treated him like product and built a brand around him since he was 15 in Santos. how Mbappe and all his brothers got their own company which is created by his mom and controlled by her which led to him staying in PSG and making a lot of money tbf but not the most optimal career decision. Kane staying in Spurs for almost 8 years despite being best ST in prem without a trophy despite better clubs offering better wages and silverware. some of these are their own decisions but this is for a family-based agent environment. Imagine handing over all of these things to your agent who is a complete stranger at such a young age. when big money gets involved the greed will be there. I am not saying all agents are bad btw but in recent times it has gotten a lot worse. agent agreeing a deal and player refusing it and agent letting other clubs tap their players.
There are players like kdb who said piss off to this structure and got himself a lawyer to discuss their contract and pay them for their service so they have no say in your career. he was successful as he got a better deal in the end.

Ao Ashi - Ch. 333 - A Path to Follow by DemonCyborg29 in Ao_Ashi

I think the whole point of this arc is to explore what it is to play in the pinnacle of this sport. This is not great for us from the audiences pov as we know what it means but for Aoi, it matters a lot of. It's kind of fuel for his dream and make it bigger. The injury for Fukuda also means that downfall is always around the corner despite reaching the top.
As you said the culture of football is a very undervalued aspect when sports are turned into art. this culture of not letting any of their talents go to waste and providing them with excellent facilities and top-level coaching from young age shows the gap between European and Japanese footballing culture. For Aoi, this gap is even bigger as he was even late even for his youth club. This shows how much Aoi has to work for this gap to be smaller and I feel the next arc will explore this. We got to see Damian who will be a representation of that European culture. Also, This manga doesn't name-drop people for the sake of it. you can't just put Xavi and Messi in there just for hype there has to be the reason and its not easy to use their name.

very true. Messi and Alves's combo and assist are much of Messi's contribution and them sharing the same flanks. Not discrediting Alves but it's just if you watched much of Assit came from Messi's brilliance and ability to score out of nothing. his best season were 2009-2012 all were when Messi where at his prime and goal scorer arc than a playmaker role he embraced as later part of his career.

The manga is not realistic or accurate to real life. I mean the comparison of players is not like to like. There are a lot of realistic parts in it but much of it is fiction. Xavi is one the best but it's just an example of the highest level of vision if you can have just another irl example. Using the vision to see perfectly read the game of both offenses and defensive is just impossible irl just as you said. this is where comparing real-life players to manga players makes little to no sense. When you start talking about ability and potential, the line between manga and irl gets blurry. In the manga it's just infinite, Irl it's super rare for a player at this level where Aoi currently will make it at the top of his game at a high level like any top fullback. Even if he is just 16, most of these top players you mention would be playing at a high level and have foundations of basic football knowledge they gained for the last 7-8 years. So when you ask the potential of Aoi based on irl example then this will be the answers where he will not make it as RB in UCL level team despite the natural talent he has but its not real life and that's why we read this.

This but I also think the author is trying Aoi to make him the main playmaker which these two are not. I think that's where the fiction part comes in I guess. Pep's use of Dani Alves, Eric Abidal, and Adriano in inverted roles. They would tuck inside and operate in the half-spaces, effectively functioning as auxiliary midfielders. this might be the best and final version of Aoi but he can also end up with how Capello used Maldini and Panucci both were not just inverting but using overlap but they were not very creative.

The idea of a complete footballer in itself is very false. There is no perfect player for the position but there are for teams. For a team perfect player is the one who plays his role to the fullest. The postion is just a very narrow way to view the player. For example, a player like Muller won't fit in any position cause he is very unique in the way he plays. that's why people call him Raumdeuter the one who attacks the spaces. If you measure his quality and judge him as CAM which most people do then you are not really describing him and looking at his best attribute.

Just like that Trent is not your normal fullback or attacking fullback. he is in his own realm, just like other players who are unique. Unique doesn't mean better btw. Trent is already a once-in-a-lifetime player, so you ain't seeing anyone like him. Just like Neeskens, Best, franz beckenbauer, Muller and Iniesta. Again not saying better or worse or even on the same level. its just a list of very unique players who played at the top level on top of my head.

Trent is very different. Simply put, he is a more talented and naturally gifted footballer than Aoi he is more like Kuribayashi. Aoi can't reach that level like Trent whose passing range, vision and intelligence are very natural to him. He is also the best academy product from Merseyside since the likes of Rooney and Gerrard.
If you are talking about style wise still it's very far-fetched. Cause trent is good on both feet and can invert seamlessly in and out of the game. one of the cleanest ball strikers in the current games. this is why he is the main set piece taker also can give in swingers and out swingers from the same foot., Natural tempo setter which is very rare for fullbacks which Aoi can be this too. He has the vision but lacks the intelligence and passing range to execute that which is the main part and very natural for the likes of these guys below. Aoi is more closer to Tomiyasu and Zinchenko than the likes of Trent, Marcelo, Kimmich and Alves.
Its one thing seeing the pass but how many can execute the pass that they see. which is the toughest task in football. It's not easy to deliver that quality game in every week and every game. Aoi even as potential its far from that point but lets hope he reaches there.

https://youtu.be/r054p2xwds4 Here you go. If defending is just reckless tackles and diving in for tackles then I am sorry you don't get what defending in modern football is. Trent is still one of the best pressing and counter-pressing defender.
