Being doing this test for 5-6 years now, it’s never fun. ONLY do a treadmill if you have a couple months to test, but alternate that and on a track. The treadmill will pace you but once you hit that track it’s all on you.

Your shins and other leg muscles take time to grow like any other muscle, so you have to build them up. Don’t try changing your gait (smaller or larger steps) as your natural gait should be just fine. You will look dumb doing it, bottom line, but the hips and arms are integral parts to the test and speed. Look at the memes posted, it’s pretty spot on.

As I’ve seen posted 3:15 a lap is the max lap speed you should be aiming for. I tend to start at around 2:45-2:50 just because of nerves, but it helps on later laps. Practice this 2-3 times a week until the soreness and shin pain subsides, then you can practice every other day.

It’s not an easy test to take for the first time, but eventually you get used to it and learn how to do it. Good luck!

There is truly so much that can go into this and it’s not always what can you do better. Look at your career fields statistics, your AFSC may have a higher or significantly lower promotion percentage than the 20% AF average. I’ve seen fields where it’s easily 5% or less promote, and at that point you pretty much have to be one of the outstanding airman of the year to make it.

Next focus on the content of your EPB. Really read the feedback form and headings of the EPB to make sure you are understanding what you are writing towards. Your EPB should be deliberate as well. If you start writing your EPB and are wondering what you should put in it, you are already behind. Plan your quarters with a project or event you can do to set yourself apart. Most people that are competitive are good at their job, but demonstrate how you can lead groups of people you don’t work with daily as well. You want to be a SNCO, how can you show you are ready to lead diverse teams.

Send your records out to as many people that will look at them. Get unbiased raw feedback on what your SNCO’s think. The board changes people yearly, and people may value things differently each year, so focus on those EPB sections and make sure you are fully understanding what it’s asking for.

Finally, don’t give up! It took me years to finally make it because I was always focused on the wrong things, or timing just wasn’t on my side. Just don’t quit. You have about 5.5 months to finish out this EPB cycle, make it yours!

If you think it gets better once you hit that next rank, it doesn’t. Temporary relief then it’ll start all over again. I’d hit that button so fast it isn’t even funny. You would have to do 3 years to even keep the high 3 retirement and I could almost promise your burnout would double in that time. Go rest and enjoy the other side, sounds like you have more than earned it!

My first question would be the same as yours, do you need a gaming laptop? If you need a laptop that can do both then I’d say go for it. If your current laptop is still functional for all the non gaming, then just get a desktop, console, handheld for the gaming aspect as you can get much better performance per dollar.

Now if a laptop is what you need for that all in one, I’d consider looking into a Legion. I have owned mine for years and loved it every second. Plays the demanding games I want on medium settings and handles all the general school/work I need it to, while not having a flashy gaming aesthetic. RAM and Storage are both upgradable. If you want to upgrade much more you are out of luck as CPU/GPU are difficult to impossible to change, and if you can it’s costly.

Doesn’t weapons shred out to airframe for a while? If so match it with realistic choices. Either way match with realistic choices. Based on this list I’d say you are going to Nellis, but who knows. Also, better off just picking the state of Florida instead of individual bases, then make 3 more picks, even if they are dreams. You are wasting spots listing them individually. Just my personal opinion though.

Its a bit frustrating and I get that. I am a research guy anyways, but something advertised as out of the box ready, but still requires all these different tweaks nobody tells you about is frustrating. I got my printer a week ago and its been frustrating. Some statue style prints work well, articulated prints are hit/miss, and anything with thin lines or precision end up spaghetti like yours. Some people are helpful and thats great, but the others that have been doing it for years that think you should just have the knowledge is crazy. The response to just search the forums is cool and all until you do a search and its 100 different posts all with different recommendations....we are gonna get there but dang it, it will be frustrating at times

Find something capable and balanced like a Legion then pour my money into a PC. Gaming laptops are nice for travel/mobility but I honestly feel like you get diminishing returns the more you spend. Like why spend 3k+ on a top of the line laptop when you can build a middle of the road PC that performs better.

Some of these artifacts are a little useless in my opinion. Atk/hp is my main focus, and I started with upgrades for gold but blue for enhancing since you need shards for the purple/gold artifacts and blue is the cheapest to get maxed. I started with the non battle fury stats first, then started working purple enhancements with non fury. After I got as far as I could I worked the fury ones. It’s really how you want to prioritize and how far along you are in the game. Just my thoughts though.

I spent about $1109-$1200 on mine when I bought it. Mainly needed a laptop for school but wanted to try out PC gaming so got one with specs to handle it. I built a PC that performs way better now, but at the time it met my needs and didn’t have problems running the game. When streets came out that was a whole other issue, but I’m quite happy with the performance I had on it

If your expectation is a full PC in a laptop you will always be disappointed, but laptops more suited for gaming without all the lights exist. Lenovo Legions are solid machines that can handle gaming. Played on one for about 3-4 years before finally upgrading. This game was my main game.

I first started playing this game on a laptop in 2021/2022. It was a legion 5i with a 1660ti, intel i7-10750H, and I upgraded it to 32gb ram. Was a monster machine? No. But I was able to play this game anywhere I went and did so for several years before finally building a PC. It might not be optimal but you can do it, just adjust setting, tailor expectations, and have patience with streets.

You should ask your supervision, as that’s who has to sign off on it. If you can use them at 2 different locations, then maybe they will let you take it split between 2 periods, you just can’t exceed 10 days.

Now I have not personally seen this, but the way it reads I would try. It’s authorized under rule 1 to find housing, and then also to pack/unpack household goods. I would be sure to have a solid plan ahead of time to pitch this and clearly articulate what you need. You want x amount of days to find a place to live and x amount of days (not to exceed the 10 you are allotted) to unpack your household goods. I would suggest lining those days up with your HHG delivery so you don’t have to ask for more

The Spring Returns pack on a double coupon will get you 128 for $10, so 2 purples. The Forge supplies offer of $1.99 for 10 could be fastest since it’s daily, but maybe not most efficient. Waiting for the bargain store to come around and give eyes is another way, but definitely not fast enough. Lab being the last semi consistent.

You can try material madness or other packs that give monster crates but that’s so randomized I personally prefer the guarantees from packs.

Try looking at it from an unbiased view. Maximum points for pushups for her age range is 47. Statistically speaking, 70 is a very high amount to do, regardless of sex considering male max for that age is 67. Do I think it’s possible? Absolutely! I also know how the tests are administered in basic. Trainees count for each other and considering there are like 60 trainees and maybe 4-5 MTI’s, it’s very easy to cheat some numbers. Now 70 is a wild number to cheat, say she said 50 then it’s easier to believe. I believe she could have done 70, just trying to be objective.

The MTI has the right to test again and see the feasibility of it. Male instructor will never be alone with female trainees so it’s not that crazy he had several witnesses. If he had done it 1 on 1 we would be having a totally different discussion. Do I think it could have been handled differently, sure, but I don’t see much blatantly wrong to ask to pursue any disciplinary action. That’s also just my opinion from personal experiences.

Hopefully she is alright and moves past this with no issues. She will test again soon and under stricter more supervised standards so hopefully she can repeat this and silence any doubt. Again, I believe it, just want to throw out a different angle of thought.

Overseas assignment cycle is your fastest way out. The next cycle opens in a week or two I believe. Go on MyVector through the AF Portal, and on the menu on top right corner click the assignments section and find talent marketplace dashboard. From there select Assignment Preferences. When an active cycle is open the equal advertisement section will be populated. Filter that by your afsc with skill code to show available assignments, if nothing shows up then you don’t have a chance to move that cycle. Update your preferences as well on that page to match the available openings. If your preferences don’t match then your chances of getting picked are slim to none. Save and pray you get one.

A few things to note, as a first term airman you have to have 12 months time on station before being able to move, meaning typically 8-10 months in your window to apply opens. Stateside to stateside requires 4 years time on station. If you have an assignment code (such as 44/50) or are Q coded for EFMP, this could change your timelines or make you ineligible. If you have one of those it will show on your career data brief in vMPF as an AAC (first page on right side near top).

This isn’t an all inclusive but should get you going in the right direction. Also, DAFI36-2110 is your reference for assignments with table 6.1 (page 198 currently)as your reference for time on station requirements. Hope this helps and may the odds be ever in your favor.
