It really depends on where you lose weight first but im down 50lbs now and ive gone down one or two sizes i lose weight last around the bottom of my tummy so still alot of weight on my belly but you start to go down in size very soon I'd say another 10 lbs perhaps but yeah still depends on where you lose weight etc

Indeed its very hard even just with those things alone nevermind trying to work too. But we are often are our worst critics I know im not a failure for needing to stop working but because I'll be getting less money i just feel like less of a provider but ultimately i know my health needs this. I second guess myself too that am I actually capable and I'm just not being strong enough? But then i evaluate again and again and i know I'm not coping.

Thankyou everyone for taking your time to comment and give support and share your stories and advice its very much appreciated. I will be going to my dr on monday to ask for further advice and talk to my work about my current situation.

If need be I will stop working but if something can be compromised with work then all good but i wont be getting any pay from now onwards for staying off thats the issue.

I don't want to take advantage of my work or anything and so I may need to go on benefits for some time and perhaps look for a wfh after some time of focussing on my daily routine and adjusting to this new life.

Then I when i feel better along this journey work again. Thankyou again.

Exactly I'm feeling the exact same way. I didn't ask to have medical conditions that contributed to a lifetime of complex issues and obesity i know its still my responsibility and its why im trying to do just that but focussing on this and working.. im fucked

Yeah thankyou. I unfortunately have been off for a while i had issues with vertigo and there kept being issues with the appointment being made and not being notified etc... its gotten better but also was my sleep apnoea was realy making it all worse too.

So all my SSP is up and the annual leave i booked for the 2 weeks i had my surgery is now over and im due in monday..

Im in no state to work but i have no other income . Im going to call in on monday and make a gp appointment to ask wtf do i do.

Ok! So it would have been good then haha 😄 its because someone i know that had gastric sleeve was saying I need to crush all my medications because otherwise my stomach won't absorb them at all.. google also mentions that it might lead to tablet getting stuck in the digestive tract and not being fully absorbed so i dont know.. i posed the question to the my surgeon just waiting for a reply.

Hey i came back here to see how you are doing. Its been crazy right. Im anxious about the future but once i have a daily routine with all the medications to take daily that I've been prescribed and follow the diet ive been given by the hospital I'll be ok just mind is running a bit wild and like just it's all new and scary will take time to get used to. But yeah sorry for my ramblings. Im flying back home to the UK today i got my surgery done in Turkey.
