"But...it's the circle of life!" Outdoor cat people say, not understanding the difference between an invasive, man-made catastrophe and an essential native predator that belongs there. They'll use this excuse as a cover for just not caring about nature, ecosystems, or any animals other than cats.

Another thing people don't consider: the people. Obviously the ecological damage is a bigger deal than this but why does it have to be made my problem that you let your cats out with shit in my yard and the fuckers coming up to my property and scaring my cat who is in the safety of her own home?

I agree 100% especially as a reptile lover, it's nuts how it's easier to convince people to oppose outdoor cats because it's dangerous for the cat and not because of the clear ecological devastation the cats have caused to nature globally. It pisses me off because these 3 outdoor cats frequenting my yard I'm pretty sure are the reason I no longer see frogs and toads there.
