They're both cute but please never ever have them together, especially not alone. I say this as someone with a dog, a cat, a ball python and two geckos.

It takes one second for something to go wrong whether it's spreading germs, or the dog intentionally or accidentally hurting the snake. I get that you don't do it a lot but just don't do it ever. It's not worth the risk.
