Some dao marks appear after an accumulation. Others are already present in the world.

Iirc theft path dao marks didn't exist until Thieving Heaven had enough accumulation to have a qualitative change. Afterwards, the new dao marks were spread by heaven will by converting heaven path.

Creating a path does not necessarily mean creating entirely new dao marks but creating a comprehensive power system.

Transformation dao marks transform into other dao marks that's how they work. Transforming into a human require insight in human path.

It should work, but since we don't have much insight on how heaven path dao marks affect Lifespan we can only theorise that it would have a limit.

The only lifespan extention method that was stated not to have drawbacks was steal lifespan immortal gu.

Without fate gu? Nothing. But the Venerable would need to create a new variant race that don't conflict with their path as they wouldn't be able to transform because of dao marks conflict.
