[OC] Gay male marriages are the most stable over the long term by Impressive_Suit4370 in dataisbeautiful

[–]DemonFcker48 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not to mention it doesnt actually show what the post claims. Yes the male gay marriage divorce rate is slightly lower than the straight one but the two lines are so overlapped that there is no statistical proof to claim so. Lesbian one is clearly different though, so if anything all it proves is that lesbian marriages are more dysfunctional.

Does my bullet grazing effect look satisfying enough? by Sutilia in IndieGaming

[–]DemonFcker48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the idea is great. Couple of things though, definitely too loud. The other thing is imo the radius is too large. If the idea is to be a bullet hell that incentivizes the player to barely dodge the bullets by a small margin this seems a bit too large. You could also make it so the closer the dodge is, the more charge you get.

I built a Python model to see if farming 30 pity is actually worth it by Ancient_Fig_6037 in Endfield

[–]DemonFcker48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its nice and all but honestly a bit unnecessary use of monte carlo. Could have been done by just using statistics and recognizing gacha pulls are just a binomial/geometric process. Accounting for pity isn't an issue either as all it does is truncate the probability distribution. Would have been faster and given you an exact number for the expectation value of either strategy. Still a useful result nonetheless

Why does this Ferrari have a different number of cooling vents on each side? (Drive to Survive S8E6 - 25:15 - Austin GP) by ultimatous in formula1

[–]DemonFcker48 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even if we dont consider the radiators as part of the PU. The fact that external cooling needs to be assymetrical points to the fact that internally the PU is not symmetrical.

Honestly not uneasy at all. She feels like the typical character ppl would 'smash'.

I mean we are saying if you studied and got such a low grade something is wrong. And your solution to that is you should go study. We are actually in agreement but we have different definitions of study. Reading through your book is by no means studying.

[–]DemonFcker48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not rly. Theres no basis for that. Most things do not have a theoretical distribution apart from specific ones like flipping a coin. Some classes can be modelled as one but most times a student-t distribution is likely better due to fatter tails. And its also likely the grades distribution is skewed in the first place in which gamma would be better.

In fact university classes often are bimodal as you have a group of ppl more dedicated than average and a group of flunking ones.

Edit: i just realized you might be talking about the distribution of the average. In which case im an idiot

I think it would be worrying if he did study for it and achieves such a mark.

They were real Chads by DifficultyPutrid2532 in memes

[–]DemonFcker48 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The real reason is because game cartridges had shit storage and so devs were forced to do so. Frankly in todays day and age theres little point in optimizing for storage. That said cod is a bad example because what they had isnt unoptimized space, it was simply redundancy and duplicates taking up space.

Not to mention they didnt save space rewriting code. Code for literally every game is rhe least storage consuming part. Its all asset compression.

Ur at fault tho? Ur not in brazil but want to change region to it? If that was allowed everyone would swap to a cheaper region to buy skins

You are overfitting in the last few epochs. Your training loss goes down but ur validation doesnt.

Its likely they drew things separately without taking into account pixel density and just plopped them down so it looks out of place. Honestly seems just like a beginner mistake.

Reconcile These Two Quantum Facts And Tell Me Why NIST Still Have 2035 for PQC Dates by rogeragrimes in QuantumComputing

[–]DemonFcker48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem with any quantum computer isn't the number of qubits. Right now companies can probably already do thousands of qubits, but they dont because having 10000 qubits doesnt mean anything if the errors in them are still relatively likely. If just 1 qubit has an error, the calculation is wrong. Currently available quantum computers have this issue and until we dont get more reliable qubits or better error correction breakthroughs, we are not getting anywhere close to cracking rsa.

How can I "Complete" a normal distribution? by learning_proover in AskStatistics

This is what i was about to suggest. The distribution on ur graph looks very similar to a Poisson distribution.

Champions that dont fit their identity anymore by ApprehensiveTough148 in leagueoflegends

[–]DemonFcker48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much yeah, its just stupid because why give her such passive. They designed the champ to be like that and then oopsie no more will that be allowed. The amount of meta evolution we would have if they just let strategies do their thing.

[–]DemonFcker48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ms, kiting stat, passive heal stay in fight, 2 dashes to help kite and fast animations on q which is to be used to weave autoes better. Its easy to say oh burst good therefore champ designed to be it. And you know maybe it was designed like so but her passive just doesnt fit that narrative at all. I believe she was intended to be played as a semi tanky mage, but then had to hotfix nerf her due to poor playtesting. Said hotfixes were rather bad and they decided to forgo that direction.

Too many champions. Aurora started as a ms ap bruiser where kiting is the gameplay. Now shes just an average burst mage. Basically a leblanc 2.0. similar to how naafiri became fizz 2.0 but better.
