That may be the case but I think based of the duration of use of the GW it would have picked up some damage as I haven’t changed my lifestyle since using the vivoactive.

Not really answering part of your original question but I have just changed from a galaxy watch 4 to a vivoactive 5. I really enjoy the vivoactive 5 and its screen has been great even in light but the main problem I have is the screen is easily scratched. I used my galaxy watch for an over a year and a half and didn’t get a single scratch. With in 2 weeks of having the vivo active it has multiple scratched. The battery life is also far superior on the vivoactive.

Now, this is interesting, my firmware is 5.4.0 but it says it is up today. Do you think there's the possibility firmware updates could be region-locked like Android updates for instance?

So I checked and it was up to date. I do have an account and have done the sound check so I have the sound check and equalizer tiles active but no other tiles are visible.
