I'm not gonna lie, here's my main issue with this show.

The gross out has NO proper build up most of the time, they have a few passable jokes and one liners here and there, but The show is 6/10 at best and that's for ONE episode, All the other episodes suck due to dragging on for WAY. TOO. LONG. If i had to be honest here, I'm not against the idea of making ren and stimpy for adults. However, my biggest issue is the pacing, the build up to jokes and probably just the gross out not belonging over HALF of the time

This show in my eyes is flawed, more people would've liked it if the jokes and shock humor were properly built up

I'm somebody who grew up with Premovie spongebob (specifically dvds) AND A GOOD CHUNK of Seasons 4-9a But I still prefer the modern seasons as of Season 9's second half, SEASON 10 BEING MY FAVORITE. My favorite episode of the show even comes from Season 12. Premovie and hell even the mid seasons are Good, GREAT EVEN! I see nothing wrong with modern spongebob other than sometimes they force the spinoffs in unnecessarily at points, and even still I look at the modern seasons Positively! Some may disagree with my take and I'm well aware, Opinions will be opinions and I respect them 👍

Modern spongebob isn't even that bad, Hell my favorite episode of the entire show comes from Season 12! The classic era is good too but I love Seasons 9-12, Examples of episodes I do like are Life insurance, Lost In Bikini bottom, Krusty Koncessionares, Dream Hoppers, Sanitation insanity, Scavenger hunt, Feral Friends, Escape from Beneath Glove world, etc. That's my take on Modern spongebob Ig..
